Abstract: In reproduction systems in which a printer outputs a plurality of different plural sheet print jobs, a system is provided for automatically separating respective print jobs into separate specially formed folders for respective print jobs and stacking a number of them into one or more specially shaped print jobs stacking containers, with the closed folders formed to extend above and provide clear distinctions and separations of their respective print jobs in the container so that a selected print job can be readily removed as a unit from the container. The folders may be on-line separately printed in tab areas and folded. The folding can be uneven or skewed or otherwise formed to be held above their contained print jobs even if the folder was from the same size paper stock.

Abstract: A sheet curling/decurling mechanism is disclosed as having a compliant roller with a soft, pliable material therearound, a curling roller forming a penetration nip with the compliant roller, the penetration nip being adapted to curl sheets of paper passing through the nip, and movable plates arranged adjacent the sheet exiting side of the nip for controlling the angle of exiting of the sheets from the nip.

Abstract: An improved pressure heated fusing apparatus for a copier/duplicator machine capable of simplex and duplex operation wherein the copy sheets make two passes through processing stations including a first roll which is heated to a temperature sufficient to fuse toner images onto paper support sheet material and a second roll made of an elastic material arranged axially parallel with said first roll to define a nip through which the paper support sheet material bearing toner images is passed having a longitudinal cross-sectional shape with a maximum diameter at the ends and a minimum diameter at the center.

Abstract: An improved collating apparatus for a high speed duplicator machine, including a set of collating bins for collating the copy sheets being produced by the machine, a set of collecting bins, means for releasing the collated sheets into the collecting bins. The bottom members of the collating bins are operable to open for releasing the collated sheets into the collecting bins whereby the collating bins are conditioned to be ready for a succeeding cycle of operation without interruption, if required. The apparatus may be also provided with vibrating means to jog the collated sheets to align the edges thereof for subsequent removal. The improved apparatus provides an increased throughput capacity to the machine, simplifies the mechanism and control circuitry involved and makes optimal utilization of the space provided for the machine.
