Abstract: It is provided a method comprising: indicating that a HARQ process is initiated for transmitting at least a first HARQ message comprising an inquiry as the first message of the HARQ process, wherein the inquiry inquires whether a relay terminal for relaying a communication of a transmitting terminal is available; transmitting the first HARQ message using the HARQ process; monitoring whether a HARQ feedback is received from at least one relay terminal in response to the first HARQ message according to the HARQ process; deciding that the at least one relay terminal is available if the HARQ feedback is received from the at least one relay terminal; deciding that the at least one relay terminal is not available if the HARQ feedback is not received from the at least one relay terminal.

Abstract: A method for processing data associated with a terminal device configured to use at least a first radio technology, e.g. for communicating with at least one further terminal device over a sidelink interface based on the first radio technology. The method includes: determining a first parameter characterizing an activity of devices configured to use the first radio technology associated with predetermined radio resources, determining a second parameter characterizing an activity of devices configured to use at least one of a) the first radio technology, b) at least one further, e.g. second, radio technology, which is different from the first radio technology, associated with the predetermined radio resources.

Abstract: A method, including: transmitting, by a first terminal device, a first request to a second terminal device, via a sidelink interface, using a first sidelink communication, wherein the second terminal device is configured to serve the first terminal device as a relay terminal device, the first request indicating that a sidelink multipath operation associated with at least one further, third, terminal device should be activated for the first terminal device, and receiving, by the first terminal device, a first response to the first request from the second terminal device.

Abstract: A method may include initiating, by a transmitter user equipment, a hybrid automatic repeat request process for groupcasting a transport block over seedbank to one or more relay user equipment and at least one remote user equipment. The method may also include performing a first groupcast transmission of the transport block using the hybrid repeat request process. The method may further include monitoring feedback from the one or more relay user equipment and the at least one remote user equipment at a first time instance and at a second time instance. In addition, the method may include generating a retransmission strategy of the transport block depending on the feedback monitored at the first time instance and the second time instance. Further, the method may include controlling retransmission of the transport block using the hybrid automatic repeat request process based on the retransmission strategy.

Abstract: An arrangement for role management in relay communication is disclosed. In relay communication, one user equipment relays communication between a base station and at least one remote user equipment. Initially, the relay user equipment has a better signal to a base station. When the signal changes, a better signal channel may be achieved by switching roles between a relay user equipment and a remote user equipment. This includes detecting that a better signal exists and determining that a change would provide a better signal.

Abstract: In one embodiment, the method includes obtaining virtual relay context information enabling by one or more relay mobile device candidates to relay traffic; and applying the virtual relay context information to be configured as a respective relay mobile device of the one or more relay mobile device candidates for relaying traffic.

Abstract: Various example embodiments relate to providing feedback with an adaptive acknowledgement mode. A device may transmit an allocation of transmission resource(s) associated with a second acknowledgement mode. The second acknowledgement mode may include transmission of a positive acknowledgement and a negative acknowledgement. Another device may detect a condition to switch to a first acknowledgement mode including transmission of the negative acknowledgement and not transmission of the positive acknowledgement. The other device may transmit an indication of a switch to the first acknowledgement mode. Apparatuses, methods, and computer programs are disclosed.

Abstract: An ARQ system for sidelink communication between transmitter and receiver, with the help of cooperative UE, or relay UE is disclosed. The relay intercepts the initial transmission from transmitter to receiver. If the relay does not intercept any ARQ feedback from the receiver (DTX), it retransmits the initial transmission. Upon receiving at least the Sidelink Control Information, SCI, identifying the retransmission, the transmitter terminates the HARQ process, assuming that the relay is now in charge of the retransmission. Upon reception of the retransmission, the receiver feeds back an HARQ ACK to the relay and the transmitter. If the receiver correctly receives the initial transmission, it feeds back an HARQ ACK to the relay and the transmitter and both relay and transmitter stop the HARQ process. If the relay does not successfully receive the initial transmission, it feds back a NACK to the transmitter which performs retransmission to the relay.

Abstract: A mobile equipment comprising means for: determining to attempt to create a unicast sidelink communication channel between the mobile equipment and an identified target user equipment via a relay user equipment; and sending a relay request message to at least one user equipment, operable as a relay to the target user equipment, wherein the relay request message comprises at least some information for configuring a sidelink process to obtain feedback from the target user equipment.

Abstract: A physical sidelink feedback channel custom indication may be defined to indicate a half-duplex collision between one or more sidelink UE to a transmitting UE involved in the collision. In response to the indication, the transmitting UE may not retransmit the packet involved in the collision, and may stay awake for an extended period of time. A receiving UE that identified the collision and transmitted the indication may retransmit the packets involved in the collision to the transmitting UEs that have not yet received the respective packets.

Abstract: For a UE in a wireless network and able to communicate via sidelink communications with other UE(s), the UE determines whether a specific condition exists indicating the UE has limited availability of CG resources used to communicate for the sidelink communications. The UE sends, using the sidelink communications, a message indicating the limited availability of the CG resources toward the other UE(s). Another UE receives the message indicating a limited availability of CG resources for the UE, and prepares an application in the other UE for a less sensitive mode of operation having less QoS than a mode having a normal QoS. A base station can configure the UE with the CG resources and provide a set of parameters to the UE to be used to form the message for the user equipment to transmit to the other UE(s) using sidelink communications.
