  • Publication number: 20240308073
Abstract: In various examples, providing proactive safety measures for robotic systems and equipment is described herein. For instance, systems and methods may monitor equipment (e.g., a machine) in order to proactively detect potential safety events that may occur with regard to the equipment and/or activate one or more proactive safety measures in order to mitigate and/or eliminate the safety events before occurring. For example, sensors that are external to the equipment may generate sensor data representing the environment at least partially surrounding the equipment. The sensor data may then be processed to determine when a potential safety event is occurring with regard to the equipment. One or more safety measures may then be activated based at least on detecting the potential safety event, such as activating a warning and/or causing an internal reactive safety measure of the equipment to activate.

  • Patent number: 8443374
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a system manages adapters and connectors used to integrate software applications. The example system includes a repository of connectors, where each connector includes one or more integration adapters. A connector generator communicating with the repository of connectors is adapted to selectively generate one or more connectors in response to detection of an event for which a corresponding connector is not found in the repository of connectors. In a more specific example embodiment, the connector generator is adapted to implement one or more generated connectors as a web service. The connector generator may be constructed in accordance with an Application Integration Architecture (AIA) integration framework. Additional tools are provided for monitoring connector runtime information and receiving and logging user feedback pertaining to connectors.

  • Patent number: 6970838
Abstract: A method of processing an online purchase request from a customer includes steps of receiving a first online purchase request for a first item; retrieving pre-stored information about the customer and generating a first quote that includes an identification of the first item and the retrieved information. Modifications may be made to the first quote, which lasts at least until a consolidation interval has elapsed. The first quote is converted to a first executable order for the first item when a quote conversion process determines that the first quote has remained unmodified at least for the consolidation interval. A second online purchase request for a second item may be added to the first quote when the second online purchase request is received before the first quote is converted into the first order or when the first quote has remained unmodified for a period of time that is less than the consolidation interval.

  • Publication number: 20020026373
Abstract: A method of processing an online purchase request from a customer to a vendor includes a step of receiving a first online purchase request for a first item. Responsive to a first customer input, the method calls for processing the first online purchase request using an express processing procedure that requires no further input by the customer to execute the online purchase request or as a shopping cart that requires a second customer input. Responsive to the second customer input, the customer's shopping cart is processed by the express processing procedure or by a normal checkout procedure. The processed shopping cart or the processed first online purchase request may then be converted into a first executable order.
