Abstract: An adduct of an unsaturated alcohol and an iodinated fluoroalkane is produced at a high conversion and high yield by reacting the unsaturated alcohol and the iodinated fluoroalkane in the presence of a radical catalyst and at least one additive selected from the group consisting of water, basic compounds, metal oxides, silver compounds and epoxy compounds.

Abstract: A fluorine-containing polyether of the formula:R.sub.f --X--A (I)orA--X--R'.sub.f --X--A (II)wherein R.sub.f and R'.sub.f are each a linear group containing a perfluoroalkyl polyether group, X is --CF.sub.2 COO--, --C.sub.2 F.sub.4 COO-- or --CF.sub.2 CF.sub.2 -- and A is a group containing a polyalkylene glycol group. The polyether can be used as a nonionic surfactant which is compatible with a perfluoroalkyl polyether.

Abstract: A fluorine-containing polyether of the formula:R.sub.f --X--A (I)orA--X--R'.sub.f --X--A (II)wherein R.sub.f and R'.sub.f are each a linear group containing a perfluoroalkyl polyether group, X is --CF.sub.2 COO--, --C.sub.2 F.sub.4 COO-- or --CF.sub.2 CF.sub.2 -- and A is a group containing a polyalkylene glycol group. Abstract: A fluorine-containing grease comprising polytetrafluoroethylene and a perfluoroalkyl polyether which is prepared by polymerizing tetrafluoroethylene in the perfluoroalkyl polyether has good homogeneity and lubricity.

Abstract: An antistatic agent comprising a fluorine-containing anionic surfactant and a nonionic surfactant in a weight ratio of 95:5 to 5:95 or an anionic surfactant and a fluorine-containing surfactant in a weight ratio of 95:5 to 5:95, which, even in a small amount, can impart an antistatic effect to a substrate.

Abstract: A cleaning composition containing 1,1,2,2-tetrachloro-1,2-difluoroethane, 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane and at least one other organic solvent having a melting point of not more than 15.degree. C. and a boiling point of 40.degree. to 150.degree. C. and capable of forming an azeotrope with at least one of said 1,1,2,2-tetrachloro-1,2-difluoroethane and 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane.
