    Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for calculating an overall risk associated with a project. A set of activities of the project are extracted by an interface module, where the set of activities are assorted into a set of predetermined categories, each category comprising a plurality of phases of execution of the project. A risk value of the each activity can be retrieved from the database. Further, an associated risk value of the each activity can be aggregated by an aggregating module, for calculation of the overall risk.
