  • Publication number: 20060038477
Abstract: To provide a phosphor containing a comparatively much red component and having high light emitting efficiency, high brightness and further high durability, the nitride phosphor is represented by the general formula LXMYN((2/3)X+(4/3)Y):R or LXMYOZN((2/3)X+(4/3)Y?(2/3)Z):R (wherein L is at least one or more selected from the Group II Elements consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba and Zn, M is at least one or more selected from the Group IV Elements in which Si is essential among C, Si and Ge, and R is at least one or more selected from the rare earth elements in which Eu is essential among Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er and Lu.); contains the another elements.

  • Publication number: 20050212397
Abstract: The present invention provides a fluorescent material comprising a light-storing first phosphor that at least partially converts energy emitted by an excitation source to a first emission spectrum that is different from the energy, and a second phosphor that at least partially converts the first emission spectrum to a second emission spectrum that is different from the first emission spectrum; a lamp equipped with such a fluorescent material; a light-emitting device that produces a whitish afterglow, comprising such a fluorescent material for converting the emission by an LED chip; and a display unit comprising a display equipped with a plurality of such light-emitting devices.

  • Publication number: 20050156496
Abstract: A light emitting device that emits light of various colors by blending lights emitted by two or more kinds of fluorescent materials which are substantially directly excited by the light emitted by an excitation source having principal emission peak in a range from 250 nm to 500 nm. Each of the fluorescent material is of a direct-transition type.

  • Patent number: 6418090
Abstract: A biasing magnet positioning mechanism for a magneto-optical disc drive is provided a cartridge holder, a cartridge holder moving mechanism and a biasing magnet. The biasing magnet is provided with a first contact portion on a side closer to a rotational axis of the magneto-optical disc and a second contact portion on a side farther from the rotational axis of the magneto-optical disc. When the cartridge holder is located at a loading position, at which data recording/reproducing of the magneto-optical disc is to be performed, the first and second contact portions contact the cartridge holder and the disc cartridge, respectively, to locate the biasing magnet at an operable position.

  • Patent number: 5729974
Abstract: An exhaust system for a "V"-type engine having front and rear banks of cylinders each containing two cylinders is disclosed. The exhaust system includes a pair of cylinder heads and exhaust pipes connected thereto. Each cylinder head has two exhaust ports corresponding to the two cylinders of that bank. The exhaust ports in the front cylinder head face forwardly and lie in planes which intersect one another along a line offset to the right of a centerline of the cylinder head. Similarly, the exhaust ports in the rear cylinder head face rearwardly and lie in planes which intersect one another along a line offset to the left of a centerline of the head. Each offset is preferably equal to half of the distance between planes containing the front and rear camshaft timing chains. An exhaust pipe extends outwardly from each exhaust port in the front cylinder head, bending inwardly and downwardly and extending to the rear of the motorcycle.
