The operations can comprise, in response to a determination that a first file server is to be cloned to a second file server, determining changed files between the first file server and the second file server, and determining configuration changes, applicable to the first file server, relative to a prior cloning of the first file server, in response to determining the changed files, applying changes corresponding to the changed files to the second file server, and in response to determining the configuration changes, applying the configuration changes to the second file server.

Abstract: Techniques are directed to managing feature evolution. Such techniques involve receiving closure commands to close issue tracking entries in an issue tracking tool constructed and arranged to track issues for a feature. Such techniques further involve, in response to the closure commands, applying design change tags and timestamps to the issue tracking entries in the issue tracking tool. The design change tags indicate whether the issue tracking entries identify design changes in the feature. Additionally, the timestamps indicate when the design change tags are applied to the issue tracking entries Such techniques further involve storing, in a repository, the design change tags and the timestamps applied to the issue tracking entries to enable construction of a feature evolution chronology from the design change tags and the timestamps.

Abstract: A storage tiering system comprises a set of storage tiers, each of the storage tiers comprising a respective set of storage drives configured to store data based on an access frequency associated with the data. The set of storage tiers comprises one or more storage tiers forming at least one storage array configured to store block-based data in association with the respective sets of storage drives of the one or more storage tiers. The set of storage tiers further comprises a storage tier utilizing a cloud infrastructure configured to store object-based data in association with the set of storage drives of the storage tier. An application programming interface is configured to convert block-based data and object-based data for moving data between the one or more storage tiers associated with the storage array and the storage tier associated with the cloud infrastructure.
