Abstract: Systems and methods for translating generic requests into requests specific to user media devices selected based on location are provided. In some embodiments, a first instruction data structure containing a request for an action to be performed on media content is received from a user equipment device. A location for the user equipment device is determined and a user media device is selected based on its proximity to the determined location. Device specific information for the selected user media device is then used to determine whether the selected user media device is authorized to perform the requested action. The device specific information is also used to translate the first instruction data structure into a second instruction data structure. The second instruction data structure is then transmitted to the selected user media device and causes the selected user media device to perform the requested action.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing parental controls in a cloud-based media guidance application may provide users with compiled listings of the user's content and parental controls for accessing that and other content based on the user equipment devices from which the content access request is received. A user may identify remote storage providers at which user content is stored, and may provide criteria for limiting or preauthorizing access to selected content by one or more user equipment devices. In response to receiving a user request, a listing of content stored with the remote storage providers may be compiled and presented in a media guidance application. A selection of any one of the user's content, as well as a selection of any other content listed in the media guidance application, may be subject to access control criteria applicable to the user equipment device from which the selection was received.

Abstract: An improved process for supplying to a processing apparatus a gas containing at least one impurity that reacts and/or nucleates to form contaminating particles suspended in the gas is disclosed. The improvement includes sampling a flow of the gas upstream of the processing apparatus with a particle counter and/or particle capture filter to detect an amount of the contaminating particles in the flow of the gas, and generating a signal when the amount of particles is in excess of a predetermined amount. An apparatus for performing the process includes: a supply source; at least one processing tool; a particle counter upstream of the processing tool and downstream of the supply source; a microprocessor in electrical communication with at least the particle counter; and optionally a particle capture filter in parallel with the particle counter. The process and apparatus are useful in the manufacture of integrated circuits.
