  • Publication number: 20080120673
Abstract: A client module includes a client transceiver module that receives and demodulates a link signal from a multimedia server module over the communications link to produce a received encoded signal, the link signal including a multimedia signal from a multimedia device. A decoder module decodes the received encoded signal into a decoded output signal that is formatted for the at least one client device. A remote receiver module receives remote control signals from a remote control device wherein the remote control signals are formatted for reception by the multimedia device. A remote control signal encoder module encodes the remote control signals into encoded control signals for transmission to the multimedia server module by the client transceiver module.

  • Publication number: 20080083035
Abstract: A multimedia client/server system includes a multimedia server module that is coupleable to a plurality of multimedia sources that produce at least one multimedia signal. The multimedia server module includes an encoder module that asserts a protection present signal when the at least one multimedia signal includes a copy protection signal, that generates an output signal with the copy protection signal removed when the protection present signal is asserted, and that encodes the output signal to produce an encoded signal. A server transceiver module produces a radio frequency (RF) signal that includes the encoded signal and the protection present signal, and that wirelessly transmits the RF signal.

  • Publication number: 20080082498
Abstract: A multimedia server module includes a first transceiver module that modulates an encoded signal to produce a first radio frequency (RF) signal and that transmits the first RF signal to a client module over a first transceiver channel when the first transceiver module is in a transceive mode. The first transceiver module includes a first channel control module that performs a first channel scan when the first transceiver module is in a scan mode, that determines at least one performance parameter of the first transceiver channel and asserts a low performance signal when the at least one performance parameter compares unfavorably to a performance threshold, and that switches the first transceiver module to a selected alternative transceiver channel when the low performance signal is asserted.

  • Publication number: 20070230095
Abstract: A console KVM module includes a main base, a flat panel display module and a torsion-varying hinge. A torsion-varying hinge links the flat panel display module with the main base such that the flat panel display module can fold against or unfold away from the main base. The torsion-varying hinge mainly comprises a fixed part, a swiveled part, a shaft and a torsion part. The fixed part is secured to the main base. The swiveled part is secured to the flat panel display module. The swiveled part is pivotally connected with the fixed part by the shaft. A torsion part is disposed around the shaft and engaged in the fixed part and the swiveled part at two ends, wherein the torsion part provides an assisting torsion while folding and unfolding the flat panel display module.

  • Publication number: 20070195496
Abstract: A rack-mounted KVM module is configured for a server rack. An L-shaped supporting frame, which has a vertical plane and a horizontal plane, is coupled to the sever rack. A flat panel display is coupled to the vertical sliding rail to move along the L-shaped supporting frame horizontally. A keyboard module is coupled to the horizontal sliding rail to move along the L-shaped supporting frame horizontally. A positioning mechanism is disposed in the horizontal sliding rail. The positioning mechanism consists mainly of an outer rail, an inner rail, a link bracket, a latch and a positioning switch. The latch is swiveled to engage a notch of the latch in a block portion of the outer rail or to remove the notch thereof from the block portion to respectively lock or unlock a fixed position when the link bracket is slid along the inner rail by moving the positioning switch.

  • Publication number: 20060232917
Abstract: A sliding flat panel display and keyboard module for monitoring and controlling server computers on a server rack is described. The sliding flat panel display and keyboard module has an L-shaped supporting frame, a vertical sliding rail, a horizontal sliding rail, a flat panel display, and a keyboard. The vertical sliding rail and the horizontal sliding rail are respectively disposed on a vertical surface and a horizontal surface of the L-shaped supporting frame. The flat panel display couples to the vertical sliding rail and the keyboard couples to the horizontal sliding rail, so that the flat panel display and the keyboard are able to slide on the L-shaped supporting frame horizontally.

  • Patent number: 4578448
Abstract: Disclosed are high-ortho phenol-formaldehyde resoles having stable hemiformal groups. These resoles are of low viscosity, are essentially free of unbound water and volatile organic compounds. They are curable to phenolic formaldehyde resinous solids and are particularly suitable for use in liquid injection molding processes to form composites.
