    Abstract: This invention is directed to hemi-formals having the following formulas: ##STR1## wherein b is 1 to about 5, c is 1 to about 3, d is 0 to about 2, the sum of c and d does not exceed 3 and is equal to or greater than 1 and n has a value equal to or greater than 1. These materials can be used to manufacture phenolic resins and are adaptable to liquid injection molding processes.
