  • Publication number: 20210248217
Abstract: For user authentication, a user is registered using a biometric capturing device to capture a biometric marker from the user. The user presents the biometric marker to the capturing device with secondary characteristics selected by the user. The secondary characteristics pertain to a manner in which the user presents the biometric marker to the capturing device. Identification values for the captured biometric marker and identification values for the secondary characteristics are stored for use in identifying the user. The user is authenticated on an end terminal device at a time after registering the user. New identification values for the recaptured biometric marker and new identification values for the secondary characteristics are extracted from the newly captured biometric marker, new identification values for the recaptured biometric marker and new identification values for the secondary characteristics and used to confirm identification of the user.

  • Publication number: 20210224814
Abstract: An authentication system stores a biometric identification parameter used by the authentication system to perform authentications. The biometric identification parameter is received from a user and stored in a primary biometric identification parameter data file. A passive authentication process is selected from a plurality of passive authentication processes. The passive authentication process obtains information without requiring active participation from the user. A primary biometric identification parameters database is accessed to verify identification of the user. The selected passive authentication process is performed to authenticate the user. The authentication device provides an authentication failure message to the user when the access to the primary biometric identification parameters database fails to verify identification of the user or when the selected passive authentication process fails to authenticate the user.

  • Patent number: 10984420
Abstract: A transaction system performs a transaction for a purchase of goods or services. Information about a purchase of goods or services is displayed on a display of a transaction device. The transaction device receives from a user, primary identification data which comprises biometric data that identifies the user. The transaction device receives from the user, secondary identification data which identifies the user. The secondary identification data is in addition to the primary identification data, and the secondary identification is of a different type than the primary identification data. A primary biometric identification parameters database is accessed to verify identification of the user. A secondary identification parameters database is accessed to confirm identification of the user.

  • Patent number: 10430792
Abstract: A transaction system stores a biometric identification parameter used by the transaction system to perform transactions. The biometric identification parameter is received from a user and stored in a primary biometric identification parameter data file. The user is assigned a user identification number. A plurality of pieces of the primary biometric identification parameter data file are created. Each piece is assigned a data sequence number different from data sequence numbers assigned to all other pieces and a mathematical operation encryption number. Each mathematical operation encryption number represents a mathematical encryption operation that is different from mathematical encryption operations represented by all other mathematical operation encryption numbers. Each piece is encrypted using a mathematical encryption operation represented by the mathematical operation encryption number assigned to the piece in order to produce a plurality of transformed data pieces.
