Abstract: A vehicular radar sensing system includes a radar sensor that includes a radiation slot sheet, a wave port sheet, and a waveguide sheet sandwiched between the radiation slot sheet and the wave port sheet. The sheets are joined together. The radiation slot sheet includes at least one transmitter that transmits radio signals and at least one receiver that receives radio signals. The waveguide sheet guides the transmitted radio signals from the radiation slot sheet to the wave port sheet and guides reflected radio signals from the wave port sheet to the radiation slot sheet. The transmitted radio signals are provided to the environment via at least one wave port of the wave point sheet. The reflected radio signals are received from the environment at the at least one wave port.

  • Publication number: 20240098947
Abstract: A vehicular integrated ADAS/infotainment module includes first electronic circuitry disposed at a printed circuit board and second electronic circuitry disposed at the printed circuit board. With the vehicular integrated ADAS/infotainment module disposed at a vehicle, the first electronic circuitry at least partially controls an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) of the vehicle and the second electronic circuitry at least partially controls an infotainment system of the vehicle. A firewall restricts communication from the first electronic circuitry to the second electronic circuitry and the firewall restricts communication from the second electronic circuitry to the first electronic circuitry. A housing at least partially encapsulates the printed circuit board, and the housing is liquid cooled to transfer heat generated by the first electronic circuitry and the second electronic circuitry away from the printed circuit board.

  • Publication number: 20240078823
Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes a camera module configured to attach at an in-cabin side of a windshield of a vehicle. The camera module includes (i) a housing, (ii) an imager assembly and (iii) a printed circuit board having an image processor disposed thereat. At least one heat pipe has a first end portion thermally conductively coupled to the housing and a second end portion thermally conductively coupled to the in-cabin side of the windshield. With the camera module attached at the in-cabin side of the windshield and when the camera module is operating, heat generated by the camera module is drawn along the at least one heat pipe from the first end portion to the second end portion.

  • Publication number: 20230339418
Abstract: A vehicular sensing system includes a plurality of sensors disposed at a vehicle equipped with the vehicular sensing system and a plurality of zonal aggregators each receiving respective sensor data captured by at least two respective sensors of the plurality of sensors and each aggregating its received sensor data into respective aggregated sensor data. The system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) that receives the respective aggregated sensor data from each respective zonal aggregator. The system includes a plurality of daughter cards, each removably connected to a respective zonal aggregator. Each respective daughter card includes a respective controller that controls a respective component of the equipped vehicle and the respective component controlled by the respective controller is based on a location of the respective zonal aggregator and respective daughter card within the equipped vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20220289175
Abstract: A vehicular control system includes a plurality of sensors disposed at a vehicle and an electronic control unit (ECU). The vehicular control system, responsive to processing at the ECU of sensor data captured by one of the plurality of sensors, detects an object in the path of the vehicle. The object may be one selected from the group consisting of (i) a pothole, (ii) road debris, and (iii) a speed bump. The ECU, responsive to detecting the object in the path of the vehicle, provides an output to another ECU. The other ECU, responsive to receiving the output, controls two or more of (i) braking of the vehicle, (ii) steering of the vehicle, and (iii) suspension of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20220230456
Abstract: A vehicular driver assist system includes a sensor disposed at a vehicle and a display disposed at the vehicle and viewable by a driver of the vehicle. An electronic control unit (ECU) includes a processor for processing sensor data captured by the sensor to detect presence of objects in the field of view of the sensor. The vehicular driver assist system, responsive to processing by the processor of sensor data captured by the sensor, determines presence of a driver of the vehicle and determines a position of the driver's head. The vehicular driver assist system, responsive to determining the position of the driver's head, adjusts an orientation of the display based on the determined position of the driver's head to increase visibility of the display for the driver.
