  • Patent number: 12256315
Abstract: An interface device may provide a first wireless network and a second wireless network in a user's premise. The interface device may encourage some user devices to connect to the second wireless network without controlling the user devices. For example, the interface device may receive a request from a device to access its first wireless network. The interface device may then determine whether the device is a premise device by, for example, searching a database of device registration information. The interface device may determine that the device is a premise device and deny the request to access the first wireless network. The device may then be available to access the second wireless network.

  • Publication number: 20220141689
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed toward intelligently selecting the operating parameters of wireless access points (WAPs) deployed in a wireless environment so as to minimize or at least reduce interference in that wireless environment. A WAP continually measures the characteristics of the wireless channels used in the wireless environment and obtains measurements of channel metrics for those channels. The WAP stores the channel metric measurements as a channel metric history and analyzes the channel metric history to determine correlations between the channel metric measurements and various timeframes. The WAP selects one or more of its operating parameters based on the channel metric history and the correlations identified. Operating parameters include the radio frequency band and channel to transmit on.

  • Publication number: 20210195346
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for enhancing an audio signal of a hearing device, comprising the steps of: using a microphone of the hearing device to receive an environmental audio signal originating from an environment of a user listening to the hearing device, processing the environmental audio signal by means of a processing unit to enhance the environmental audio signal by suppressing noise and/or amplifying audio data, outputting the enhanced audio signal to the user listening to the hearing device by means of a speaker, characterized in that the processing unit is arranged in a communications network, away from the hearing device, wherein the processing unit is configured for receiving the environmental audio signal from the microphone of the hearing device and retransmitting the enhanced audio signal to the speaker of the hearing device via the communications network.
