  • Patent number: 8839932
Abstract: An apparatus for reducing transmission shock of an automatic transmission may include a piston operated by a control pressure, a clutch performing a clutching operation by an operation of the piston, and a cushion spring arranged between the piston and the clutch which varies by stages in stiffness of the spring with an operating position of the piston. The cushion spring may be formed with one or more sets of a plurality of curved-surface springs bent in an operating direction of the clutch and connected with each other, each set of the plurality of curved-surface springs having a different bending height.

  • Patent number: 7380252
Abstract: A disc drive includes a frame in which a spindle motor and an optical pickup are installed, and at least one helmholtz resonator that is installed in the frame to reduce noise of a particular frequency determined by a volume of a resonating tube and a length and diameter of a neck of the resonator, where the helmholtz resonator may be constructed to be united with the frame.

  • Patent number: 7185350
Abstract: A disk drive including a spindle motor rotating a disk, a pickup unit accessing the disk, a frame where the spindle motor is installed, and a vibration absorber installed on the frame to absorb vibrations due to rotation of the disk, that vibrates in a direction in which an exciting force is offset in horizontal and vertical directions with respect to the frame. Thus, as the vibration absorber vibrates in response to vibration of the frame, in a direction to offset the vibration if the frame, the vibration of the frame can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20030058779
Abstract: A spindle device of a disc drive, including a self-compensating dynamic balancer. The spindle device includes a turntable on which a disc is to be placed, a spindle motor to rotate the turntable, a moving body to compensate for the eccentric center of gravity due to the asymmetry of the disc, and a self-compensating dynamic balancer having a race in which a moving body moves. The self-compensating dynamic balancer includes an annular race encircling the rotational center of the turntable and having a predetermined depth and width, and an annular moving body placed in the race, the annular moving body has an inner diameter wider than that of the race and an outer diameter narrower than that of the race, so that the eccentric center of gravity thereof can be moved in the race.
