  • Patent number: 10860409
Abstract: In one embodiment, a device writes messages and corresponding trace-on-failure flags to log files when failure conditions are detected. The device propagates the trace-on-failure flags to headers of the log files. The device forms a file index of the log files that have trace-on-failure flags set in their headers. The device performs, using the file index, a lookup of messages in the log files associated with a particular error context. The device sends data from the lookup to an electronic display.

  • Patent number: 10565641
Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and systems, related to providing financial gadgets to users. In one implementation, a method includes receiving gadgets and receiving a notification that one or more gadgets has been certified. A web page with an interface through which users can select gadgets is generated and provided to a user computer. A user selects a gadget, and the selected gadget is run, including providing the user-specific financial information to the gadget. Content based on the output of the gadget is provided to the user. User-specific financial information can be collected, and modified by the gadget. A notification can be received that a financial institution has authorized one or more of the certified gadgets and the web page can only allow users to select authorized gadgets.

  • Patent number: 8116247
Abstract: In a wireless mesh network of network nodes, there is identified a first subset of the nodes that have a direct connection to at least one end user, and a second subset of nodes that are necessary to maintain connections among the end users. The first subset is exclusive of the second subset. Nodes that are not within either the first subset or the second subset enter a power savings mode, which may include shutting down completely for a predetermined period. This enables power savings in that only the minimum number of nodes that are necessary to maintain connectivity of the end users may remain powered. A centralized node may make the decisions and inform individual nodes to shut down, or each node may run the same algorithm using the same input information and determine its own shutdown decision.
