  • Publication number: 20200034867
Abstract: A method for managing loyalty groups at point-of-sale (POS) accesses is discussed. The method includes determining that a user account is a member of a loyalty group, responsive to determining that a user device of the user account is used at merchant's POS. The method includes determining a loyalty membership type for the user account that indicates whether user details of the user account are accessible by the merchant. The method includes determining another user account from the loyalty group, the loyalty membership type further indicating whether the user details are accessible by the another user account. The method includes determining whether the loyalty membership type for the user account can be upgraded, and if so, providing communication to the user device to cause a user interface of the user device to display a prompt for providing access to additional user details to upgrade the loyalty membership type.

  • Publication number: 20190394212
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for targeted authentication queries based on detected user actions. A user may perform various actions during a day, including online, electronic, or digital actions, such as social networking, messaging, and media consumption, as well as real-life actions, such as exercise, travel, and purchases. The actions may be used to determine a user history for the user by a service provider. When the user wishes to login to an account or otherwise authenticate the identity of the user, the user may provide login or authentication credentials. The credentials may be used to look up the user history and cause the service provider to generate an authentication query for the user based on events associated with the user in the user history. The query may be utilized to further authenticate the user by requiring the user to respond with the event associated with the user.

  • Publication number: 20190311365
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for shared authentication for limited use of an associated account based on user location and connected devices. A user may own a location where another user may visit or rent. The user may have a payment account that may be used with merchants to purchase items that are associated with the location or offered with use of the location. The user may set up the payment account to have a shared authentication mechanism with other users that utilize the location to allow the other users to pay for items using the payment account. The authentication mechanism may be a credential that may be pushed to a device of one or more of the other users when the other users are at or nearby the location or may be information of the other users that may be matched during transaction processing.

  • Publication number: 20190272576
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for a network of personalized devices determining data for shopping predictions. A personalized device may include processing components for determining purchase predictions for one or more items to purchase on behalf of a user. The purchase predictions may be based on personality traits and other information that may indicate interests of the user. The purchase predictions may also be based on purchase information for the item, including inventory of the item, price of the item, availability of the item to the user, or other factor. Once the purchase prediction is determined, the personalized device may generate a purchase request for the item from a merchant having the item at a physical merchant location accessible to the personalized device or a delivery device associated with the personalized device. The personalized device may retrieve and deliver the purchased item.

  • Patent number: 10362027
Abstract: A system, a medium, and a method involve a communication interface of a server device that receives first activity data associated with a first activity of an account and second activity data associated with a second activity of the account. A processor of the server device determines a first location of the first activity from the first activity data and a second location of the second activity from the second activity data. An authentication circuit of the server device determines a first authentication of the first activity based at least on the first activity data. The authentication circuit determines a second authentication of the second activity based on at least one of the first authentication, the first location, and the second location. A transmitter of the communication interface transmits an indication of the second authentication to a client device.

  • Publication number: 20190057387
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for dynamic authentication through user information and intent. A user may wish to purchase an item that they view on a merchant marketplace using a computer of mobile phone. The merchant for the merchant marketplace may register the user's intent to purchase the item by receiving the user's actions while browsing the marketplace. The user may further provide user information with the merchant, such as a biometric reading, identifier, or other information. When the user then arrives at a merchant location to purchase the item and complete a transaction using a payment instrument, the merchant may process the user's intent and information to determine how confident the merchant is that the user is entitled to utilize the payment method. Such confidence rating may correspond to whether the merchant believes the transaction is fraudulent or if the user is misrepresenting their identity.

  • Publication number: 20190018950
Abstract: Various systems, mediums, and methods herein describe aspects of an authentication system. The system may receive a request from a user device to authenticate a user. The system may determine a route travelled by the user. The route can be determined based at least on data retrieved from the user device of the user. The system may determine one or more objects viewable along the route. At least one image of the one or more objects can be selected. The system may communicate the at least one image and at least one other image to the user device to be displayed on the user device. The system may receive a selection of the at least one image by the user through a display of the user device. The authentication of the user can be based, at least in part, on the user selection of the at least one image.
