Publication number: 20110153968Abstract: When there is a change in a group of volumes managed by a host computer, data duplication processing is immediately carried out against the changed volume. The host computer includes a volume-managing portion, a data duplication-controlling portion which executes the data duplication of data stored in a volume in a main data center, and a data duplication storing portion which stores data necessary for the data duplication. The data duplication-controlling portion compares data held by the volume-managing portion with the data in the data duplication storing portion, and updates the data in the data duplication storing portion based on the data held by the volume-managing portion.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 4, 2011Publication date: June 23, 2011Inventors: Yuri Hiraiwa, Taro Inoue, Sumio Goto

Patent number: 6181424Abstract: A three-dimensional measurement apparatus for measuring three-dimensional information of an object with high speed and high accuracy is disclosed. A laser light is converted to a collimated light, which forms a stripe of light on an object through a projection unit. The projection unit is moved back and forth by a linear motor along the collimated light in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the stripe of light. Since the projection unit projects a light stripe of constant width on the object with constant reception of the collimated light, a plurality of stripes of light can be formed on the object by means of simple movement of the projection unit. The area on the object scanned by the plurality of stripes of light is captured by a CCD camera, and three-dimensional information is measured using the light-section method.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 1998Date of Patent: January 30, 2001Inventors: Mitsumasa Okabayashi, Sumio Goto, Masaru Saito

Patent number: 4871493Abstract: In preparing a film by extruding a molten thermoplastic resin, a heater in which a temperature profile varying in the width direction can be set is arranged in the width direction in the vicinity of a die lip, and a temperature sensor for detecting a resin temperature profile in the vicinity of the outlet of the die lip and a sensor capable of detecting a thickness profile of a film or the like in the width direction are disposed. The output of the heater is controlled according to signals from the temperature sensor and thickness sensor to automatically adjust the thickness of the film or the like in the width direction, whereby a homogeneous film with a reduced thickness unevenness can be stably prepared with a high precession of control of the thickness unevenness. .Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 1988Date of Patent: October 3, 1989Assignee: Showa Denko Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Sumio Goto

Patent number: 4790676Abstract: Disclosed is a film for a printer ribbon, which is made of a resin composition comprising, 55 to 95% by weight of high-density polyethylene and 5 to 45% by weight of low-density polyethylene and having a melt tension of at least 1.4 g and a density of 0.94 to 0.96 g/cm.sup.3. The film is made by the T-die-chill roll method wherein a good stability at both ends of the extruded molten resin film is maintained to prevent the occurrence of an uneven thickness or formation of wrinkles, and wherein undesirable engulfment of air between the molten resin film and the chill roll is avoided.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 1987Date of Patent: December 13, 1988Assignee: Showa Denko Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Makoto Karatsu, Sumio Goto
