  • Patent number: 7287864
Abstract: A light amount adjusting device is assembled in a projector having a light source and a projection device projecting light from the light source on a screen through an image forming panel. The light amount adjusting device is arranged in the projection device or between the light source and the projection device. The light amount adjusting device includes a substrate having an optical path opening so that light from the light source passes therethrough; a blade member for adjusting quantity of light passing through the optical path opening; and a driving device for opening and closing the blade member. The blade member includes a base member formed of a polyimide sheet or a polyester sheet having heat resistance withstanding heat of the light source. A light blocking material is laminated on the base member.

  • Publication number: 20060290901
Abstract: A light shielding heat-resistant sheet material has a film substrate sheet of a polyethylene naphthalate resin and/or a polyimide resin, and a two-component curable polyester resin paint coated on one or both surfaces of the film substrate. The two-component curable polyester resin paint has a polyester resin as a principal agent, an isocyanate compound as a curing agent, and a black pigment. The sheet material can be used as a blade member in a light amount regulating apparatus to be incorporated in an optical equipment, such as a projector. The blade member resists deformation by heat and has reduced weight, and thereby enables secure light amount regulation while operating smoothly and quietly.

  • Patent number: 4345241
Abstract: A high speed analog-to-digital conversion method and apparatus including a plurality of parallel analog-to-digital converters is disclosed. A clock signal is applied to each of the analog-to-digital converters at different phase relation to increase the equivalent sampling frequency by multiplexing the outputs into a serial form. A reference signal such as a linear ramp or sawtooth signal is used to maintain the correct phase relation, thereby eliminating any errors due to differences in electrical characteristics among the analog-to-digital converters. Such correction may be performed automatically by using a CPU before digitizing an analog input signal or at any desired time.
