  • Publication number: 20240054515
Abstract: A method and system to predict the cost of a product. Materials necessary to manufacture a product are determined. Data related to the price of each of the materials required for the product over a predetermined period of time is collected. The price of each of the materials at a future time is predicted based on the collected data via a set of models. The prices are aggregated to determine the aggregate predicted cost of the product at a period of time in the future. A recommendation of materials to meet a future demand based on the predicted cost is determined.

  • Patent number: 9721294
Abstract: The present application is directed to, among other things, a computer-automated method of presenting data relating to a supply chain. The method may include using stored parts data of the enterprise, including content of a bill of materials for at least one of a product or a group of products, and, for each part in the bill of materials and a list of approved sources for such part, risk data associated therewith. The method may include using stored supplier data. The method may include computing supply chain data, including at least one of revenue impact and risk score, corresponding to the at least one of the product and the group of products, of the enterprise, wherein the data is aggregated according to geographic region. The method may include serving graphical information wherein the computed supply chain data is represented on a map on the basis of geographic region.

  • Patent number: 7941548
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems directed to preventing unauthorized access to internal network addresses transmitted across wireless networks. According to the invention, mobile stations are assigned virtual client network addresses that are used as the outer network addresses in a Virtual Private Network (VPN) infrastructure, as well as unique internal network addresses used as the inner network addresses. In one implementation, the virtual client network addresses have little to no relation to the internal network addressing scheme implemented on the network domain. In one implementation, all clients or mobile stations are assigned the same virtual client network address. A translation layer, in one implementation, intermediates the VPN session between the mobile stations and a VPN server to translate the virtual client network addresses to the internal network addresses based on the medium access control (MAC) address corresponding to the mobile stations.

  • Patent number: 6157649
Abstract: A method for coordinating and controlling multiple data streams representing a data transmission session that terminate in different termination units (such as network access servers) using a virtual data stream tunnel is presented. The data streams are transmitted over two or more links, collectively forming a "bundle. One of the termination units that receives a data stream is designated as the termination unit to receive and reconstruct a call. The designated termination unit is the "owner" of the bundle. A termination unit that is a not a bundle owner creates a virtual tunnel to the termination unit that is the bundle owner, and sends data streams through the virtual tunnel to the bundle owner to reconstruct the call. The designated termination unit reconstructs the data streams for the bundle and directs the bundle to a destination.
