  • Publication number: 20230129070
Abstract: A system is provided that includes a controller having one or more processors. The one or more processors may be configured to obtain first vehicle system data from a first vehicle system of plural vehicle systems based on a common characteristic shared by the plural vehicle systems, and obtain second vehicle system data from a second vehicle system of the plural vehicle systems, the second vehicle system data based on the common characteristic shared by the two or more vehicle systems. The one or more processors may also be configured to compare the first vehicle system data to the second vehicle system data, and identify one of the first vehicle system or the second vehicle system as a candidate vehicle system for maintenance based on comparing the first vehicle system data to the second vehicle system data.

  • Patent number: 11451930
Abstract: A method and system is presented for dynamically predicting hotspots (predictive of a high volume of event occurrences) in a geographic location. The method calculates a hotspot probability measure for each grid within this geographic location by summing probability of predicted volume bucket with probabilities of all higher buckets (buckets are ordinal here). The method also calculates a hotspot score for each grid based on the corresponding hotspot probability measure, selects a pre-defined number of grids having the highest hotspot scores as predicted hotspots, and generates an alert indicating the predicted hotspots and displaying the alert on a predictive GUI, showing the multiple grids.

  • Publication number: 20220010743
Abstract: A fuel control system obtains a measured amount of fuel consumed by an engine and one or more corresponding operating parameters of the engine and determines a fuel consumption modeled amount based at least in part on a fuel consumption model of the engine and the one or more operating parameters. The fuel consumption model associates different amounts of fuel that, when supplied to the engine, generate corresponding designated outputs of the engine. The system also determines one or more differentials between the measured amount of fuel and the modeled amount and, responsive to the one or more of the differentials exceeding a threshold value, the system identifies one or more components of the powered system that contribute or cause the one or more differentials and/or changes an amount of fuel supplied to the engine according to the fuel consumption model to obtain a desired output of the engine.

  • Patent number: 9274863
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate generally to reducing latency for consensus in geographically distributed disaster-safe persistent data-store systems. These distributed systems may include registry system having redundant storage for maintaining the system status. Each registry system may include a server and a storage component. Consensus may be achieved by querying all of other servers of the registry system. In one example, the consensus data may be sharded into independent small groups. This may allow for multiple consensus transactions to be generated and run in parallel, which, in turn may reduce the latency. In addition, or alternatively, requests to a server to write or otherwise change the data-store may be batched at the server side. Thus, for the consensus, the server need only communicate with the other servers only once per batch. This may also reduce the latency of the distributed system.

  • Patent number: 9092338
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate generally to a distributed event joining system for joining primary and secondary events based on a common key. In one example, a continuous stream of primary events may be submitted by a plurality of ad serving computers for storage at a cache layer. Each primary event may be associated with a primary event key. After a time T, the stream of primary events may be sent to long term memory. The system may also receive secondary events, each associated with a primary key. The primary key may be used to identify a primary event in the cache layer. If the primary event is not available in the cache layer, the long term memory may be searched for the primary key. Paired events may then be submitted to a distributed joined event storage system.

In one example, a continuous stream of primary events may be stored at a cache layer. Each primary event may be associated with a primary event key which may be used to generate an index map for the cache layer. After a time T, the stream of primary events may be sent to long term memory. The system may also receive secondary events, each associated with a primary key. The primary key may be used to identify a primary event in the cache layer. If the primary event is not available in the cache layer, the long term memory may be searched for the primary key. • Patent number: 7433984
Abstract: A PCI bus time-based weighted round robin arbiter has a phase table divided into a plurality of phases. Each of the phases is assigned to one of the ports on the PCI bus. An arbiter state machine is coupled to the phase table and looks at the port assignment for the next plurality of phases, for example, 3 phases. If the arbiter determines that the next plurality of phases is assigned to a single port, that port is selected as the next bus master.
