Abstract: In the present disclosure, a request is received from a user to access the electronic device. Upon receiving the request, the user is prompted to perform an action and image frames are captured while the user performs the action. Next, a variation in characteristics of skin of the user is identified, while the user performs the action. The identification is performed using the image frames captured. Upon identification of the variation in the characteristic of the skin of the user, facial features of the user are recognized. The access is provided to the user based on recognition of the facial features.

Abstract: A beginning to end method of distributing marketing promotions to consumers through mobile devices is disclosed. Sellers of goods or services set criteria for the selection of consumers eligible to receive coupons or other promotional material. Consumers who request product information are sent mobile messages that contain personalized promotions matched to the consumer's preferences and the seller's distribution criteria. The consumer's request, receipt, use, redemption, and settlement of promotional instruments is monitored and facilitated to allow rapid calculation of the seller's return on investment and payment for each completed transaction.

Abstract: A universal payment, coupon redemption and customer loyalty system is disclosed. Consumers may purchase goods and services through a universal payment identifier that facilities Internet, merchant, and consumer-to-consumer or mobile-to-mobile transfer of money and non-cash instruments. The universal payment identifier may be used as a universal credit/debit card, coupon redemption card, means of tracking consumer behavior, or means to dynamically associate different payment accounts.
