  • Publication number: 20200010257
Abstract: A multi-chamber container is provided having a main container and a main lid. The main container is configured to receive a first inner container which rests on the rim section of the main container. An optional cover for the first inner container is typically provided. A second inner container is releasably attached to, and held to, the lower surface of the main lid by an inner attachment section. The main container is sealed by a skirt section on the main lid so that the contents within the main container, the first inner container, and the second inner container, are only accessible when the lid has been detached from the container, and the first and second containers have been removed. A low cost, easily assembled, secure, single-use, multi-chamber container is provided.

  • Patent number: 10286607
Abstract: The embodiments described herein provide improved techniques for laser welding. These techniques can provide improved weld strength while reducing the potential for damage at the welding surface. In general, the techniques use a mask to selectively block a portion of the laser beam during welding. Specifically, the mask is made to include at least one laser light blocking feature and at least one laser light passing feature. The mask is positioned to be in contact with the plastic bodies that are to be welded together, with the laser light blocking feature and laser light passing feature proximate to the area that is to be welded. Then during welding the laser beam is operated to simultaneously impact the laser light blocking feature and pass through the laser light passing feature.

  • Publication number: 20170099193
Abstract: A system and method for facilitating reusability of distributed computing pipelines is disclosed. The system captures the distributed computing pipeline designed over a Graphical User Interface (GUI) of a first data processing environment associated with a stream analytics platform. Subsequent to the designing, the distributed computing pipeline may be stored in a repository. The distributed computing pipeline may be stored in a file with a predefined file format pertaining to the stream analytics platform. The system also maintains a repository of different versions of the distributed computing pipeline created by the first and second user. Upon storing the file, the file may be imported in a second data processing environment. After importing the file, the distributed computing pipeline may be populated over the GUI of the second data processing environment, thereby facilitating reusability of the distributed computing pipeline.

  • Patent number: 9465654
Abstract: When a loss of connectivity between a first node in a cluster of nodes and a data store is detected, an input/output (I/O) request associated with an application that was executing on the first node is shipped to a second node in the cluster that is in communication with the data store. The application can be gracefully shut down on the first node, and the second node can execute the application and satisfy the I/O request.

  • Publication number: 20160072554
Abstract: Embodiments relate generally to electrical and electronic hardware, computer software, wired and wireless network communications, and computing devices, and, in particular, to near-field antenna structures and formation methods for a wearable pod and/or device implementing a touch-sensitive interface in a metal pod cover. According to an embodiment, forming a wearable pod includes selecting a cradle having an attachment portion, forming an anchor portion to bind to the cradle and to an elastomer. The anchor portion includes a channel to provide support. Further, the method includes selecting an antenna having a width dimension sized less than a width dimension of the channel, disposing a portion of the antenna in the channel, and implementing terminals of the antenna coupled to circuitry of a near-field communication device.
