  • Publication number: 20240221715
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to noise suppression processing. A device may establish a connection to a connected device. The device may calculate a first SNR of a first sample of a first audio stream from the connected device. The device may calculate a second SNR of a second sample of a second audio stream from a first device. The device may compare a difference of the first SNR and the second SNR to a Delta SNR threshold. The device may detect ambient noise level conditions and the Delta SNR threshold is based on the ambient noise level conditions. The device may determine whether to apply system-level preprocessing based on the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20240194215
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to user tracking. A device may identify metadata comprising depth sensing information and camera information received from an in-room device located at a first location having a first camera. The device may perform face recognition on one or more in-room users. The device may calculate a distance of a first in-room user based on the metadata and a first number of pixels across the face of the first in-room user. The device may calculate a distance between the first in-room user and a second in-room user based on the metadata and the first number of pixels across the face of the first in-room user and a number of pixels across the face of the second in-room user.

  • Publication number: 20230216453
Abstract: The speaker coil in a dynamic speaker in a mobile computing device can be used to generate radio frequency (RF) signals having a frequency of about 100 kHz or greater. A speaker amplifier drives the dynamic speaker to produce sound and RF circuitry drives the speaker amplifier to generate the RF signals having a frequency of about 100 kHz or greater. The speaker coil can comprise a tap at an appropriate point between the ends of the coil to cause the coil to operate at resonance over a desired RF frequency band. A low-pass filter can be positioned at the speaker amplifier output to protect the speaker amplifier from RF energy generated by the RF circuitry and a high-pass filter can be positioned at the output of the RF circuitry to protect the RF circuitry from audio energy generated by the speaker amplifier.

  • Publication number: 20220326096
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed to monitor thermal degradation of a compute device. One such method includes calculating, by executing instructions with processor circuitry, a thermal degradation value based on an equation, the equation generated based on testing of thermal interface materials having varying degrees of degradation. The method also includes comparing, by executing instructions with the processor circuitry, the thermal degradation value to a thermal degradation threshold to determine whether the thermal degradation threshold is satisfied, and, when the thermal degradation threshold is satisfied, triggering generation of a thermal degradation alert.

  • Publication number: 20170345270
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to notifying a user of a computing device in response to detectable events. A context assessment generates context indicia relating to usage of the computing device based on sensor data and content data of the computing device. An event descriptor assessment produces a master set of event descriptors based on the context indicia and on event descriptor selection criteria, with the event descriptors representing events monitorable by the computing device. An event descriptor relevance assessment is made to produce a smaller active subset of event descriptors containing events to be monitored by the computing device such that in response to detection of any of the events to be monitored a user notification is triggered.
