Abstract: A user control input system for a host with a display. A controller establishes a communication link with the host and includes a first motion sensor. At least a second motion sensor is also in communication with the host. First user movement induces the first motion sensor to generate a first signal that is communicated to the host such that the host induces movement of a cursor on the display to move with respect to control objects at a first resolution. Second user movement induces the second motion sensor to generate a signal that is communicated to the host such that the host processing unit induces movement of the cursor at a second coarser resolution. The cursor can include first and second indicia such that the second indicium is moved proportional to the second motion at a finer resolution than movement of the first indicia.

Abstract: A method of operation of an electronic reader system includes: identifying a content attribute of a content block on a displayable page; determining a first display capability of a first display device associated with the content attribute; determining a second display capability associated with the content attribute from a communication port, the communication port for connecting with a second display device having the second display capability; ranking the second display capability against the first display capability; and processing the content block for displaying on the second display device when the second display capability is ranked higher than the first display capability.

Abstract: Systems and method which allow for control of televisions and other media device are disclosed. A television set is provided with a gesture capture device configured to receive a gesture input directed to at least one of a plurality of predefined areas related to the television set. The television set further includes a user interaction interface configured to generate data indicative of the gesture input directed toward the at least one of the predefined areas and control the television based at least in part on the generated data.
