Abstract: A touch screen panel includes a transparent substrate; first detection cells and second detection cells alternately disposed on an active touch area of one surface of the transparent substrate in such a manner that the first detection cells are connected to each other along a first direction and second detection cells are connected to each other along a second direction; a driving/shield electrode formed throughout the other surface of the transparent substrate in such a manner that ends of the driving/shield electrode are located at an inner side of the transparent substrate while being spaced apart from a boundary line of the transparent substrate by a predetermined interval; and a first insulation layer formed throughout the other surface of the transparent substrate, on which the driving/shield electrode is formed, to cover an exposed surface of the driving/shield electrode, inclusive of sides of the driving/shield electrode.

Abstract: A touch screen panel that prevents sensing patterns from being viewable at a border of a touch active region. The touch screen panel includes: a transparent substrate; first sensing cells and second sensing cells alternately distributed in a touch active region on the transparent substrate; first connection patterns connecting the fist sensing cells in a first direction; second connection patterns connecting the second sensing patterns in a second direction crossing the first direction; and dummy patterns extending outside the touch active region and connected with the first sensing cells and the second sensing cells at a border of the touch active region.

Abstract: There is provided a liquid crystal display (LCD) with a built-in touch screen panel in which the touch screen panel is built-in the LCD. The LCD with the built-in touch screen panel includes a lower substrate on whose upper surface a pixel electrode is formed, an upper substrate on whose bottom surface facing the lower substrate sensing patterns, color filters, and a common electrode are sequentially formed, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the lower substrate and the upper substrate.

Abstract: A touch screen panel having a simple structure, in which the touch screen panel includes a transparent substrate having a touch active region and a touch inactive region disposed in an edge portion of the touch active region; sensing patterns formed in the touch active region of the transparent substrate, and including: first sensing cells connected along a first direction by first connecting patterns, and second sensing cells connected along a second direction by second connecting patterns; an edge pattern layer formed in a side of the transparent substrate having the sensing patterns; and an insulating layer disposed between the first connecting patterns and the second connecting patterns, wherein the insulating layer is disposed where the first connecting patterns intersect the second connecting patterns, and wherein the insulating layer is made of a same material as a material of the edge pattern layer.

The touch screen panel includes first and second substrates facing each other, the first and second substrates being joined together by a sealant; a plurality of first sensing patterns coupled to one another along a first direction on a side of the first substrate facing the second substrate; a plurality of second sensing patterns coupled to one another along a second direction on a side of the second substrate facing the first substrate; a plurality of first dummy patterns between the first sensing patterns corresponding to the second sensing patterns; a plurality of second dummy patterns between the second sensing patterns corresponding to the first sensing patterns; and an insulating layer between the first and second substrates.
