    Abstract: A fingerprint-sensing integrated circuit encrypts fingerprint image data before transmitting the fingerprint image data to a remote system host through a Tx/Rx interface so as to prevent the fingerprint image data from being skimmed, or to prevent verification of a stolen fingerprint image data sent to the system host. The scrambling encryption method does not need an SRAM, a DRAM or a flash memory for design of the encryption circuit, and the data volume remains unchanged after encryption, thereby preventing latency and delay during data encryption/decryption and data transmission.

Then, users select a desired finger corresponded with the alphanumeric character or symbol to touch the sensor, thereby acquiring a fingerprint image or a fingerprint characteristic value of the finger to save the fingerprint image or the fingerprint characteristic value in a memory area corresponded with the alphanumeric character or the symbol in a memory. A fingerprint authenticating method does not need to set a preset password, while showing a random verification code offered by the system, and users enter the correspondent fingerprints in order according to the random verification code.

The LDC processing module and the BIS processing module deinterleave the demodulated data to respectively obtain an LDC data and a BIS data. The erasure code generator sets an erasure flag corresponding to the LDC data according to the demodulation error flag and the BIS error flag. The decoder decodes the LDC data according to the erasure flag. Further, the decoder decodes the BIS data to obtain the BIS error flag.
