  • Patent number: 8675692
Abstract: A base station resets a wireless signal processing time depending on the processing capability of a terminal, and determines the transmission position of a feedback signal for a data packet using the reset wireless signal processing time and transmits the same to the terminal. If the feedback signal indicates the success of reception of the data packet, the data packet can be processed using the reset wireless signal processing time, and the wireless signal processing time can be reset to a smaller value.

  • Patent number: 8064402
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for interworking a wireless local area network (WLAN) and a portable Internet. The device establishes a first wireless data path following a first wireless communication protocol with a first network, and establishes a plurality of the second wireless data paths through the first wireless data paths. Here, the plurality of the second wireless data paths follow a second wireless communication protocol and respectively correspond to a plurality of terminal devices. Subsequently, the device establishes a plurality of first network links respectively corresponding to the plurality of terminal devices with the first network, and stores mapping information for the first network link corresponding to a relationship between the plurality of terminal devices and the plurality of first network links.

  • Patent number: 8054814
Abstract: Disclosed is an interworking device for interworking with a first network and supporting signaling between a terminal and a second network. The interworking device sets a first wireless data path with the first network. The interworking device sets a first radio link with the terminal, receives an authentication message through a first radio link, and transmits the authentication message to an authentication server of the second network through the first wireless data path. When the authentication server finishes authentication, the interworking device sets a second wireless data path with the terminal. Accordingly, the interworking device provides an Internet service to the terminal during movement.

  • Patent number: 8005080
Abstract: An IPv6 address configuration method for a terminal in a wireless mobile network and an apparatus therefor are provided. In the wireless mobile network, an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) address configuration apparatus is provided to a router (access control router; ACR) or a base station (radio access station; RAS). In the address configuration apparatus, a MAC access procedure is performed to extract information required for IPv6 address allocation procedure, and the address is configured by using available fields of a message. In addition, a duplicate address detector (DAD) in which the terminal directly takes part is omitted by using information on the router (ACR) or the base station (RAS). In addition, during the IPv6 address configuration procedure, in order to prevent messages of IPv6 from being transmitted in a wireless region, an agent for address configuration is provided to the terminal.

  • Patent number: 7826410
Abstract: A method for updating a domain name server (DNS) address by obtaining the DNS address when an IP address is allocated by using a mobile IP address in a mobile terminal using the portable interne based on a wireless mobile network is provided. In the method at least one DNS address connected to the wireless mobile network is sampled (S400), a roundtrip delay to the respective sampled DNSs is calculated (S450), a DNS address having a minimum roundtrip delay is selected (S460), and a DNS address of the mobile terminal is updated to be the selected DNS address (S500).

  • Patent number: 7394802
Abstract: The present invention enables the manufacture of an NTP stratum-1 server using IS-95/2000 synchronous mobile terminals as an external reference clock, instead of an expensive atomic clock or a GPS receiver having a difficulty in indoor reception. It is therefore possible to use an NTP server that provides precise time information by a relatively inexpensive method so as to synchronize a subnet or Internet. By using the NTP servers, precise UTC information and a tick rate stable in the system operation can be provided to the nodes of a network.
