  • Patent number: 12153098
Abstract: An apparatus for inspecting a failure of an electrode assembly before injecting an electrolyte includes a short-circuit tester configured to detect a short circuit of the electrode assembly by applying a predetermined voltage to a positive electrode and a negative electrode of the electrode assembly; a multimeter electrically connected to the short-circuit tester and configured to measure a voltage and a current of the electrode assembly over time; and a failure determination part connected to the multimeter and configured to monitor changes in voltage and current measured by the multimeter and determine a type of a failure of the electrode assembly from data on the changes in voltage and current over a predetermined period of time. A method of inspecting a failure of an electrode assembly using the same is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20220393304
Abstract: A separator for an electrochemical device having a low content of secondary particles formed by aggregation of inorganic particles in the inorganic coating layer. The separator has a low content of secondary particles protruding from the separator surface to a predetermined height. Since the inorganic particles are not aggregated but are distributed homogeneously in the inorganic coating layer, the separator has uniform dispersion of pressure over the whole surface of the separator, when it is applied to a battery and pressure is generated in the battery due to the charge/discharge of the battery. Deformation of the separator is minimized. When using a porous film as a separator substrate, there is a low tendency for intensive application of pressure from the secondary particles to a local site of the separator substrate, and thus the separator substrate is less damaged and the possibility of short-circuit generation is reduced.

  • Patent number: 9550925
Abstract: An environment-friendly adhesive composition is provided that includes about 10 to about 70 parts by weight of a tackifying agent base including an acryl-based attaching agent as a raw material, about 5 to about 40 parts by weight of a terpene-based tackiness improver, about 0.5 to about 5 parts by weight of an epoxy-based crosslinking agent, about 5 to about 60 parts by weight of a flame retardant, and a combination thereof, based on 100 parts by weight of a solvent excluding benzene, toluene and xylene (BTX). The flame retardant includes at least one selected from a group consisting of a halogen-based flame retardant, an antimony flame retardant, and a phosphorus-based flame retardant. The adhesive composition and a tape manufactured using the same may be used exclusively in a vehicle industry, and in various electronic industries.
