  • Patent number: 11190653
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for capturing an image within the context of a document. The computing device identifies an image field within the document displayed in a user interface (UI). The image field is operable to display live input received from a camera. In response to receiving a first input from a user selecting the image field of the document, the UI of the computing device displays the live input from the camera within the image field of the document in the context of other portions of the document displayed outside of the image field. Controls are provided by the computing device with which the user can adjust various characteristics of the live input. In response to receiving a second input from the user, the computing device captures the image from the live input displayed within the image field of the document.

  • Patent number: 10645467
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer storage media directed to navigation of a digital video. In one embodiment, a method may begin by partitioning a digital video into a number of sub-stories based at least in part on transition points identified within the digital video. The plurality of sub-stories can then be grouped into video segments based on the content of each sub-story. These video segments can then be packaged into a navigation panel in accordance with a selected template that defines a layout for the navigation panel. Such a navigation panel can present the video segments to a viewer in an interactive graphical manner that enables the viewer to navigate the one or more video segments. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

  • Publication number: 20180232125
Abstract: Contextual linking of digital representations of objects with documents is described. In one or more implementations, a portion of a document is linked to a portion of a digital representation of an object. The link contains information such as portion locations/coordinates, customized views, hyperlinks, text/notes associated with the link, audio/video associated with the link, and so on. The resulting linked document enables a user to freely navigate between the linked portions through user inputs to either portion and interact with the information associated with the link.

  • Publication number: 20150161822
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for creating, modifying and displaying location-specific digital artwork using augmented reality. A computing device is configured to determine a geographical location. The geographical location can be the current physical location of the device or the location. A database of location-specific information is searched for data representing predefined spatial planes associated with the geographical location. One or more of the spatial planes obtained from the search can be selected by a user via a graphical user interface (GUI). The selected spatial planes form a digital canvas within an interactive drawing interface upon which digital artwork can be created and/or modified. The digital artwork can be rendered via the GUI or other suitable display device, providing a visualization of the digital artwork interposed with the environment at the geographical location. The digital artwork can be exported to a database and associated with the environment.
