  • Patent number: 10406918
Abstract: A display device includes an image display device that includes an image display surface that emits light polarized in one direction and displays an image; and a superimposing display device that includes a transparent light guide plate that is provided overlapping the image display surface, transmits the light emitted from the image display device, and also has grooves constituting a pattern formed thereon, includes a light source that irradiates an end surface of the transparent light guide plate with light, and is switched between display and non-display of the pattern based on lighting and non-lighting of the light source. A polarization direction of the image display device and an extending direction of the grooves intersect at an angle range of 75° to 105°. Accordingly, the display device can ensure proper visibility.

  • Patent number: 10365129
Abstract: A radial line dial plate includes a synthetic resin dial plate and a shaft through-hole that is provided to the dial plate such that a rotation shaft of a meter unit penetrates therethrough. The dial plate is provided with a plurality of grooves that extend radially outward from an opening rim of the shaft through-hole to form a radial line pattern provided on the dial plate, and the plurality of grooves are provided radially around a position different from a center axis of the shaft through-hole. Thus, there are provided a radial line dial plate and an automobile meter provided with the radial line dial plate in which the radial line pattern of appearance with comfortable and natural feeling as a metallic-tone dial plate can be stably given.

  • Patent number: 10192522
Abstract: A display device includes a first display surface displaying vehicle information; and a second display surface which is disposed facing the first display surface and transmits light, has a drawing pattern drawn across a display area and outside the display area of the first display surface when seen from a direction in which the second display surface is stacked on the first display surface, and can switch to a displayed state in which the drawing pattern is displayed and a hidden state in which the drawing pattern is hidden. The display device displays information by the first display surface and the second display surface. The display device can therefore realize a visual effect that makes the display area look relatively large.

  • Patent number: 10048099
Abstract: A metallic decorative part for a vehicle display device includes a substrate body molded from a synthetic resin, a metal thin film that is formed of metal and deposited on a surface of the substrate body, and a plurality of grooves deposited on a surface of the metal thin film in accordance with a shape of the surface of the substrate body. The grooves are formed so that a width is larger than 0 and equal to or smaller than 3.0 ?m, and a height is larger than 0 and equal to or smaller than 1.0 ?m. Accordingly, the metallic decorative part for a vehicle display device can properly secure a metallic texture recognized by a viewer with a configuration in which the metal thin film is deposited on the surface of the substrate body made of resin.

  • Patent number: 10006788
Abstract: A radial line dial plate includes: a substrate body made of resin on which a radial line mark region is molded by a die mark-molding-face of a molding die; a plurality of fine grooves that extend radially outward in a radial direction from a center of the radial line mark region without intersecting with each other and are formed such that a distance therebetween is 1 ?m or less at an outermost peripheral end to give a radial line pattern to the radial line mark region; and a metal thin film that is deposited to at least the radial line mark region of the substrate body.

  • Patent number: 9983347
Abstract: A display device includes a first display surface that emits light and displays vehicle information, and a second display surface that is placed on the first display surface in an overlapping manner, transmits the light emitted from the first display surface, and on which grooves that form a drawing pattern are created, wherein the grooves with a groove pitch are created so as to prevent diffracted light having visible light range components that is emitted from the first display surface and that is diffracted by the grooves from forming an image in an eye range determined in advance according to a vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20170328749
Abstract: A metallic decorative part for a vehicle display device includes a substrate body molded with a synthetic resin, a metal thin film made of metal and provided on a surface of the substrate body, and a plurality of grooves formed on a surface of the metal thin film in accordance with a shape of the surface of the substrate body. The plurality of grooves are formed so that the radius of the curved surface of a corner forming an apex between adjacent grooves is larger than 0 and equal to or smaller than 38.0 ?m. Accordingly, the metallic decorative part for a vehicle display device can appropriately ensure metal texture to be given to a viewer in a structure in which the metal thin film is provided on the surface of the substrate body made of a resin.
