  • Publication number: 20200095709
Abstract: A core-sheath type conjugate filament, and a woven fabric obtained therefrom, for a palatable beverage extracting filter, have improved environmental safety and formability, and maintain fabric strength. A core component of the filament is a homopolyester having a melting point of 220° C. or more. A sheath component of the filament is a copolyester containing terephthalic acid and a diol as major components and having a melting point is at least 40° C. lower than that of the core component. A mass change after boiling in an aqueous ethanol solution in a concentration of 10 mass % for 1 hour is 4% or less, and an eluted amount of heavy metals is less than 0.1 ppm.

  • Patent number: 8278227
Abstract: A polyester fabric having a total cover factor of not lower than 1500 and a mass per unit area of not higher than 45 g/m2, wherein said polyester fabric is composed of polyester multifilament A yarns having a total fineness of not higher than 25 dtex (decitex) and a single yarn fineness of not higher than 2.0 dtex and multifilament B yarns having a total fineness of not lower than 35 dtex, wherein the arrangements of the respective yarns in the warp and weft directions are such that the yarn constitution ratio “B yarn/A yarn” is ¼ to 1/20 (number of yarns-to-number of yarns ratio) and wherein the A yarn-to-B yarn pitches are not longer than 7 mm. The polyester fabric is light in weight, high in density and flexible by using extra-fine polyester multifilaments finer as compared with the conventional polyester multifilaments and, at the same time, has a sufficient level of tear strength.

  • Publication number: 20110039466
Abstract: A screen gauze formed of a core-sheath composite monofilament comprising the core 1 formed by a fiber-forming polymer 4 containing a material 3 having a property of absorbing light at wavelengths of 350 nm to 450 nm and the sheath 2 formed by a fiber-forming polymer 5, the core-sheath composite monofilament having average reflectance of 15% or less to light at wavelengths of 350 nm to 450 nm, and a screen gauze using the same. The monofilament is free from strength reduction, scum generation and abrasion of related parts such as reed, and makes no difficulty in ink-release, and requires no dyeing process and thus no additional cost therefor.

  • Publication number: 20090054821
Abstract: A medical sheet base includes a polyurethane nonwoven fabric and a polyurethane film combined with each other, and is improved in stretchability, air permeability, moisture permeability, water resistance and flexibility over prior-art medical sheet bases as required of the medical sheet base. The polyurethane nonwoven fabric includes continuous filaments each having an average filament diameter of not greater than 50 ?m, the filaments being deposited in a substantially unbound state and partly bonded to each other. The polyurethane film has minute pores present in opposite surfaces thereof and each having a diameter of not greater than 10 ?m, and minute pores communicating with each other along the thickness thereof.
