  • Publication number: 20150356097
Abstract: A system and method for providing automatic horizontal and vertical scalability for n-tier computer applications in an n-tier computer application infrastructure is disclosed. The n-tier computer application infrastructure includes an interface, an application server and a data store. In one embodiment, major functional aspects of an n-tier computer application are identified by analyzing an n-tier computer application by a cloud engine. Further, major database aspects in the data store are identified by analyzing a database schema and a database application logic used in the data store by the cloud engine. Furthermore, a reconfigured automatically scalable n-tier computer application infrastructure that is horizontally and vertically scalable is generated based on the identified major functional aspects, the identified major database aspects and the n-tier computer application usage needs.

  • Publication number: 20100121872
Abstract: An electronic system, method, and service is disclosed for storing subjects' genomic and medical information on portable storage devices to be used for private disease diagnosis and for subject-controlled participation in research queries. Using a computer with network access, subjects conduct private disease diagnosis and disease forecasting by downloading genetic queries and running the queries against private genomic data stored on the portable storage device. When participating in a subject-controlled research program, subjects are provided the capability of joining a peer-to-peer network and the choice to decide whether to participate in queries submitted by researchers over the network to subject network members. When subject network members decide to participate in a submitted query, they download the query, run the query against their private data, and anonymously submit the results back to the network.

  • Publication number: 20090171768
Abstract: A method and system for incentive based tie-in transaction is disclosed. In one embodiment, an e-commerce system embedded with a transaction engine performs a method of an e-commerce transaction, the method including displaying multiple sale items on a website, and forwarding offering data which proposes a deal for a first item in exchange for a participation in one or more tie-in offers to an electronic device of a user upon receiving request data for purchasing the first item from the electronic device of the user, where the tie-in offers are selected from multiple registered offers based on transaction data associated with the user using the transaction engine. The method further includes forwarding receipt data confirming a sale of the first item to the electronic device of the user in response to a purchase signal triggered by the electronic device of the user.

  • Publication number: 20080243551
Abstract: An electronic medical record system, method, and service is disclosed for storing patients genomic and medical information on portable storage devices to be used for private disease diagnosis and for patient-controlled participation in research queries. Using a computer with network access, patients conduct private disease diagnosis and disease forecasting by downloading genetic queries and running the queries against private genomic data stored on the portable storage device. To conduct patient-controlled research, patients are provided the capability of joining a peer-to-peer network and choice in deciding whether to participate in queries submitted by researchers over the network to patient network members. When patient network members decide to participate in a submitted query, they download the query, run the query against their private data, and anonymously submit the results back to the network.
