  • Publication number: 20170338864
Abstract: The present invention relates to a wireless data communication module (100) for a drug injection device. The wireless data communication module (100) comprises a folded flexible carrier member (107) comprising a plurality of stacked component support regions (203, 205, 207, 209, 211) and a display (103), such as a LCD or OLED display, electrically connected to a first component support region (203) of the folded flexible carrier member (107) via a first set of electrical connection terminals. The display (103) comprises an outwardly facing readable display and an opposing, downwardly facing, optical reflector (319). The wireless data communication module (100) additionally comprises a NFC antenna (105) attached to a second component support region (205) of the folded flexible carrier member (107) situated below the first component mounting region (203). The optical reflector (319) of the display comprises an optically reflective and non-magnetically permeable material.

  • Patent number: 8873784
Abstract: The hearing aid comprises a casing element enclosing electronic components and a battery drawer hingedly connected to the casing element for pivotal movement with respect to the casing element. Bushings in the casing element corresponding to seats in the battery drawer are provided coaxially with the desired pivotal axle and a metal hinge pin is provided coaxially with the desired pivotal axle and extends centrally through holes in the bushings, the battery drawer and the casing parts.

  • Patent number: 8526879
Abstract: A communications device for wireless communication with another device, the communications device having a) a first part having a first housing and a first induction coil for providing an inductive coupling to the other device, and b) a second part having a second induction coil adapted to be inductively coupled to said first induction coil and to said other device when mounted on or near said first housing. Provided is a relatively simple mechanical interface for an inductively coupled link between a communications device and another device. The second part is adapted to be detachably attachable to the first housing. An advantage is that no connector is needed whereby a simpler and more reliable device is provided. The consequences of wear of the connector leading to increased contact resistance and/or failure of the electrical connection is avoided.

  • Patent number: 8491761
Abstract: A portable device includes a substrate, a number of electronic components, and a battery having an anode and a cathode for energizing at least some of the components. The application further relates to a method of protection a portable device against corrosion and to the use of a portable device. An object of the present application is to protect selected metallic parts of a bodyworn electronic device against corrosion in a flexible and controlled manner. The problem is solved in that the portable device includes a sacrificial anode in the form of a component adapted to be surface mounted on the substrate. This has the advantage that corrosion can be contained at a specific location. The device may e.g. be used for portable listening devices, e.g. hearing aids or headsets or earphones including a part adapted for being worn at or in an ear of a user.
