  • Patent number: 5947682
Abstract: A pump housing and manufacturing method therefor includes a primary molding for injecting halves of the pump housing and a secondary molding for assembling the primary molds to each other to be installed to the interior of a secondary metal mold and secondarily-molding the outer surface of the pump housing without requiring core fabrication, installation and removal steps of the injection molding. Thus, the core fabrication and core removal steps heretofore required for an inlet or undercut are unnecessary for enabling swift mass production and lowering difficulty of working to make the quality consistent and decrease inferior products, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost.

  • Patent number: 5771719
Abstract: Disclosed is a washing machine having a centrifugal pump which not only sprays washing liquid onto the articles to be washed by circulating the washing liquid, but also supplies air bubbles into a spin tub, thereby improving the washing effect. The centrifugal pump includes a first housing, a second housing fixedly coupled to the first housing, an impeller accommodated in the first housing so as to circulate the washing liquid into a spraying nozzle or into an outer tub, a rotor which rotates in the forward and reverse directions, a driving shaft inserted into a center of the rotor in order to rotate together with the rotor, and a solenoid valve assembly for supplying the air to the impeller. The washing machine generates complex turbulence in the spin tub, thereby preventing the articles to be washed from being tangled at the center of the spin tub.

  • Patent number: 5738807
Abstract: An air bubble generating apparatus has an air supplying device integrated with a pump. The air bubble generating apparatus comprises a pump for pumping water and for receiving a vacuum at a center portion thereof during pumping the water, a driving source for driving the pump, and an air supplying device for supplying air for the water by using an air pressure difference between the center portion in the vacuum state and an atmosphere. The air supplying device includes a hollow shaft through which the air flows, a first valve assembly adjacent to a first end of the hollow shaft and screwed in a bearing holder of the driving source, and a second valve assembly arranged at a second end of the hollow shaft. When the pump is operated so that a vacuum pressure is generated in the pump, the solenoid valve opens, so that there is a difference in pressure between the pump and the air supplying device.

  • Patent number: 5624244
Abstract: The present invention relates to a circulating pump for pressurizing and circulating fluid in a system such as a boiler. An object of the present invention is to provide an improved structure of an impeller body and a motor shaft so that a substance such as mud is prevented from being accumulated in a motor while the motor is sufficiently cooled. The circulating pump comprises a motor, an impeller and a pump housing. At the outer surface of motor shaft a spiral groove is formed and at the center of motor shaft a cooling water discharging passage is formed along the axis of the motor shaft. At a lower portion of an impeller body a curved projecting portion forming a cooling water inflow chamber by joining together with motor shaft is provided and a plurality of cooling water outlet holes are formed therein. At an upper end of cooling water discharging passage a ball seat with a ball therein is provided.

  • Patent number: 5620023
Abstract: An exhaust control valve for an electromagnetic pump is disclosed. By the exhaust control valve, pressure and quantity of exhausted oil is maintained constant, noise is reduced, an incomplete combustion of oil is prevented and energy efficiency is improved. The exhaust control valve has a tapered cylindrical valve body, a frustoconical head formed at one end of the body, a nipple integrally formed with the frustoconical head and a spring for applying forward biasing force to the body. The exhaust control valve moves forwards and backwards according to the variation of pressure applied thereof so that oil having constant pressure is exhausted to a burner.

  • Patent number: 5618168
Abstract: The present invention relating to a circulating pump for pressurizing and circulating fluid in a system such as a boiler has an object to provide a circulating pump having an improved shroud of an impeller and suction ring of a pump housing to thereby reduce power loss in a motor and leakage of high pressurized fluid. The circulating pump according to the present invention comprises a motor, an impeller and a pump housing. A motor shaft is supported rotatably and slidably in an axial direction of the motor shaft by a lower bush bearing and an upper bush bearing. A plurality of grooves are symmetrically formed on an annular flange about the center thereof. Each of the grooves is arranged along the theoretical streamline of a vortex flow which is made from the central end toward the outside of the annular flange under the action of centrifugal force occurring according to the rotation thereof.

  • Patent number: 5613845
Abstract: The present invention is relating to a circulating pump for pressurizing and circulating fluid in a system such as a boiler. An object of the present invention is to provide a circulating pump with a sub-impeller wherein a separate sub-impeller is provided below an impeller for moderating resistance occurring at the impeller due to pressure difference between an impeller chamber and an inside of the impeller during an operation of a pump so that power loss is prevented during a motor driving and a substance such as mud is prevented from entering a stator can. The circulating pump with a sub-impeller comprises a motor, an impeller and a pump housing. Below the impeller body, a sub-impeller with a plurality of radial baldes is provided. The sub-impeller forces out pressurized fluid that has flowed below the impeller back from below the impeller radially while rotating.

  • Patent number: 5570999
Abstract: Disclosed is an electromagnetic pump, in which oil is exhausted not intermittently but constantly with small pressure fluctuations, with reduced operational noise, with reduced fire-extinction delay, and improved energy efficiency. The electromagnetic pump has an automatic exhaust-control valve having a conical head, and a cylindrical body having a tapered shape whose diameter decreases rearward from the conical head. According to change of a sectional area of an oil path defined between the exhaust-control valve and an exhaust chamber, the exhaust-control valve transmits an elevated pressure of pressurized oil to a development section to thereby automatically control its pressure elevating capability.
