    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a plasma display panel in which afterimage is improved. The plasma display panel according to the present invention includes a panel unit having an upper plate and a lower plate, a frame that supports circuitry, and a conductive material formed between the panel unit and the frame. As such, a conductive material is formed on a bottom surface of a lower plate of a panel. Thus, charges introduced into the lower plate are properly controlled to improve the waveform stability of the panel. Also, a charge characteristic is improved to implement a stable operation. Accordingly, an afterimage time can be reduced. Further, a sheet of a low hardness and light weight is used. It is thus possible to absorb shock and noise of a PDP, accomplish light weight of the PDP and reduce the materials of the sheet.

    Abstract: A connection member for a flat-panel display is coupled to an electrode terminal part on one side of the panel and an integrated driving circuit on an opposing side of the panel. The connection member provides driving signals to at least one scan electrode and at least one common electrode coupled to the electrode terminal part. The connection member further includes joining parts, each of which has a two-tier structure of scan and common electrode pads. Moreover, the connection member is provided for the scan and common electrodes in the panel on only one side of the panel, thereby saving space and reducing power requirements through use of the integrated driving circuit which provides driving signals for both the scan and common electrodes.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a plasma display panel, and more particularly, to an energy recovery apparatus of a plasma display panel and method thereof. According to a first embodiment of the present invention, an energy recovery apparatus of a plasma display panel includes a resonance circuit making a sustain voltage resonate to generate a voltage increasing to a double voltage of the sustain voltage, a diode limiting the voltage generated from the resonance circuit not to exceed the sustain voltage, and a panel supplied with the sustain voltage from the resonance circuit under a control of the diode. Therefore, the present invention provides an energy recovery apparatus of a plasma display panel and method thereof, by which sustain discharge can occur stably without degrading efficiency and by which efficiency degradation and malfunction caused by noise due to a voltage variation can be prevented.
