  • Publication number: 20070151718
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes: fins formed in a wavy shape; and a tube attached with the wavy fins and bent in a zigzag shape. A contact area between the tube and the fins are maximized to thus considerably enhance heat transfer through the fins.

  • Publication number: 20070151289
Abstract: A refrigerator with first and second chambers includes a compressor configured to compress a refrigerant, a condenser configured to condense the compressed refrigerant while cooling the refrigerant, a first evaporator configured to evaporate the refrigerant to cool the first chamber, a second evaporator configured to evaporate the refrigerant to cool the second chamber, and a valve mechanism connected to control a flow of the refrigerant relative to the evaporators in three different modes. The valve mechanism is configured to provide the refrigerant to the first evaporator and not the second evaporator in a first mode, to provide the refrigerant to the second evaporator and not the first evaporator in a second mode, and to provide the refrigerant to the first and second evaporators in a third mode. In the third mode, the refrigerant may pass the first and second evaporators sequentially or in parallel.

  • Patent number: 6764550
Abstract: An apparatus for evaluating a performance of a plasma-polymerized polymer layer using a UV spectrometer, including a polymerizing chamber for forming a polymerized polymer layer on a surface of a substrate by plasma discharging, a UV probe mounted contactless to the polymerized polymer layer formed in the polymerizing chamber and transmitting/receiving UV to and from the polymer layer and a UV spectrometer analyzing a signal inputted from the UV probe. With this apparatus, the characteristic of the surface of the substrate having a polymer layer consecutively polymerized by plasma can be evaluated in a contactless way, and the evaluation can be performed without affecting the process parameters such as the degree of vacuum within the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20040090047
Abstract: A transportable golf bag includes a bottom and walls defining a chamber sized to receive golf clubs. Wheels are mounted to the bottom of the bag to enable the bag to be rolled over a surface. The bag bottom includes a forward portion and a sloped rear portion. The wheels are sized such that when the bag is resting on the forward portion, the wheels are raised above the ground. The golf bag also includes a button-operated extendable/retractable handle. The handle assembly includes a locking assembly within the handle assembly that it operable by a button at the top of the handle. Pressing of the button releases the locking assembly to allow for the handle, when extended, to be retracted.

  • Publication number: 20030221950
Abstract: A plasma polymerizing system including at least one chamber is disclosed. After polymerizing a surface of a sheet by generating plasma of reactive gas in the chamber, mixed gas of oxygen and nitrogen is provided into the chamber for preventing the deterioration of the polymerizing property of the sheet. Air can be provided for the mixed gas.

  • Patent number: 6334326
Abstract: Fin tube type evaporator in an air conditioner including tubes for flow of a refrigerant therethrough, and fins each having a plurality of collars for coupling with the tubes, and a plurality of slits formed between the collars, wherein drain means of a predetermined form is formed between the collars, thereby draining the condensed water smoothly and reducing an air flow resistance, and leakage of condensed water out of the air conditioner.
