An audio file edit method for a mobile terminal includes executing an audio file edit application in response to a touch event detected on a touch screen, selecting at least one audio file to be edited by means of the audio file edit application in response to a touch event detected on the touch screen, displaying an oscillation graph representing the at least one audio file within an oscillation window, selecting a part of the oscillation graph in response to a touch event detected on the touch screen, and displaying the selected part of the oscillation graph within an edit window.

Abstract: An image edit method and apparatus for a mobile terminal having a touchscreen is provided for intuitively editing images by means of edit tools provided in the touchscreen. The image edit method includes displaying a first image with an edit tool in the touchscreen, breaking, when the first image is a motion picture, the first image into a plurality of frames and editing at least one of the frames using the edit tool in accordance with user manipulation, and acquiring, when the first image is a still image, a second image from an image source, and generating a third image by synthesizing the first and second images.

Abstract: A mobile device and a method for setting a virtual keypad on a touch screen of the mobile device are provided. The mobile device includes a memory for storing virtual keypads with different sizes, a touch screen for detecting a touch thereon and displaying a least one of the virtual keypads, and a control unit for determining a size of a touch detected region, for selecting the virtual keypad composed of keys including sizes corresponding to the determined size of the touch detected region, for controlling the touch screen to display the selected virtual keypad and for storing the displayed virtual keypad in the memory unit.

Abstract: An automatic dialing method in a telephone terminal. In the method, digit keys are entered from a user, the call type and digit number requirement for a telephone number that the input digit keys represent are determined upon absence of input of a SEND key, and the telephone number is dialled if the input digit keys are complete, or after a predetermined standby time if the input digit keys are incomplete.

Abstract: A method for issuing a destination arrival alarm in a radio terminal. The radio terminal comprises sending a base station data service request to a base station by user's request; upon receipt of an approval message for the base station data service, sending a destination name to the base station; upon receipt of base station data corresponding to the destination name, displaying the received base station data; selecting at least one of the displayed base station data and storing the selected base station data; upon detection of present base station data, determining whether the detected base station data is identical to the stored base station data; and issuing an alarm, when the detected base station data is identical to the stored base station data.

Abstract: A method for detecting data outputted from an optical coupler is presented comprising the steps of setting a reference recognizing level by inputting the data in an initial state to an A/D converter; recognizing the level of the data in a noninitial state as high if the level of the data at the non-initial state is greater than the reference recognizing level; recognizing level of the data in the non-initial state as low if the level of the data at the non-initial state is less than the reference recognizing level; and setting the level of the data at the non-initial state to equal the reference recognizing level if the level of the data at the non-initial state is recognized as low.
