  • Patent number: 10281309
Abstract: A gas flow meter comprises a meter body, a tube, and a sensing unit. The sensing unit includes a base connected with one end of the tube; a speed transducer penetrating the base; a temperature transducer penetrating the base; a temperature compensator penetrating the base; and a microcontroller accommodated inside the meter body. The microcontroller is electrically connected with the speed transducer, the temperature transducer and the temperature compensator. The temperature transducer only functions to detect the temperature of the surrounding gas. The temperature compensator only functions to compensate the speed transducer for the temperature drop thereof. Each of them functions independently. Once the temperature of the speed transducer lowers, the temperature compensator directly compensates for the temperature drop, whereby the statistic error value is effectively decreased.

  • Patent number: 9329064
Abstract: A flow meter regulation valve fastening structure includes a holder with one side coupled with a regulation valve by screwing. The regulation valve has a regulation shaft with a flange and a screw head located at an upper side. The screw head is coupled with an anchor member. The anchor member has a coupling plate at one end coupled on the screw head and an anchor plate at another end with two detent plates extended downwards from two sides to butt two sides of the frame edge of the holder for retaining. Thereby when the regulation valve is coupled with the holder and a pipe, the junction of the regulation valve and the holder can be prevented from generating fractures due to excessive turning forces.

  • Patent number: 9116027
Abstract: A flow meter comprises a flow tube, a magnetic switch and an adjustment assembly. The flow tube has two ends screwed respectively with a first fastening member and a second fastening member, and includes a jutting seat, a sleeve, a magnetic element and an elastic element inside. The magnetic switch is located on a lateral surface of the flow tube, and includes a magnetic induction member disposed inside to form magnetic induction with the magnetic element and a first gear rack. The adjustment assembly engages with the first gear rack for control. When the sleeve is pushed by liquid to generate displacement alteration, distance between the magnetic induction member and sleeve can be quickly adjusted by the adjustment assembly. In the event that the magnetic element in the sleeve exceeds the limit range of the magnetic induction member, a notice is sent to shut down electric power.

  • Publication number: 20110196872
Abstract: A computational method and system for the comparison and analysis of different objects of information within a database or collection. All objects are compared in a pair-wise fashion so the relative similarity between each object to every other object in the collection is known. A generalized alignment-free method is described for comparing whole genome (coding and non-coding) DNA sequences is used to investigate the relationship among placental mammalian genomes. Differences in word feature frequency profiles (FFP) are used to derive distance and infer evolutionary relationships.

  • Patent number: 7980127
Abstract: A flow meter includes a transparent holder with an inlet and an outlet connected to a first, second and third fastening portions through a first, second, third and fourth connection ribs, a first and second fastening assemblies screwed respectively with the inlet and outlet, a butting member located at one end of the transparent holder, a flow scale plate located on a recess of the transparent holder, and a regulation member coupled to the inlet. The three fastening portions with respectively a first, second and third fastening hole are integrally formed with the inlet and outlet. Through the first and second fastening holes, the transparent holder is firmly fastened to a machine. Thus hydraulic pressure generated in the inlet and outlet does not cause loosening due to screw fastening of the three fastening portions. The structural strength of the transparent holder is increased and assembly is easier.

  • Publication number: 20060223120
Abstract: Herein is described and optimum solubility screen in which a panel of buffers and many additives are provided in order to obtain the most homogeneous and monodisperse protein condition for protein crystallization. The present methods are useful for proteins that aggregate and cannot be concentrated prior to setting up crystallization screens. A broad range of buffers is intended for use in this screen. A high-throughput method using the hanging-drop method and vapor diffusion equilibrium and a panel of twenty-four buffers is further provided. After monitoring precipitation, the conditions leading to clear drops are selected for evaluation, preferably dynamic light scattering (DLS) characterization. If the DLS results are not optimal, a series of additives are tested in the presence of the best buffer selected from the initial screen and again DLS is used to determine the best condition.
