  • Publication number: 20180041991
Abstract: ePDCCH may be provided. For example, a WTRU may receive a configuration for monitoring an ePDCCH resource. Based on the configuration, the WTRU may be configured to monitor and may monitor the ePDCCH resource on a particular subframe. Additionally, a WTRU may derive an aggregation level for a subframe associated with an aggregation level number NAL. The WTRU may transmit or monitor an ePDCCH using the aggregation level associated with the NAL for the subframe. A WTRU may also receive a reference signal. The WTRU may then determine the type of reference signal received. The WTRU may perform a demodulation of the PDSCH or ePDCCH using a demodulation timing based on the determined type. The ePDCCH or PDSCH may also be monitored or received by identifying a demodulation reference timing implicitly based on a location of one or more ePDCCH resources where the WTRU may receive DCI.

  • Publication number: 20170374592
Abstract: An enhanced uplink user equipment is in soft handover. A radio network controller selects a primary Node-B out of a plurality of Node-Bs supporting the soft handover. The radio network controller receiving successfully received enhanced uplink data packets from the plurality of Node-Bs. Abstract: A method for uplink timing alignment in a wireless transmit/receive unit is provided. The method includes receiving control signaling from an evolved Node B, receiving on a primary cell (PCell) a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) order, the PDCCH order including a carrier indicator field indicating a secondary cell (SCell) to transmit a physical random access channel (PRACH) transmission. In response to the PDCCH order, transmitting the PRACH transmission, and in response to the PRACH transmission, monitoring the PCELL for a random access response (RAR). In response to detecting an RAR associated with the PRACH transmission, adjusting timing for the SCell in response to a timing advance included in the RAR.

  • Publication number: 20170353931
Abstract: A method and apparatus for uplink sounding reference signals (SRS) transmissions are disclosed. A WTRU-specific configuration of WTRU-specific SRS subframes for performing SRS transmissions is received. A trigger is received in a subframe from a base station to transmit a first SRS. A first subframe is selected after the subframe in which the trigger is received which is both a WTRU-specific subframe and at least four subframes after the subframe in which the trigger is received. A determination if a maximum power is exceeded in a symbol in the selected first subframe is made. On a condition that the maximum power is not exceeded in the symbol in the selected first subframe, the first SRS is transmitted in the selected first subframe.

  • Publication number: 20170332321
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described. A long term evolution (LTE) base station includes a transmitter and a processor. The processor coordinates with another LTE base station and, based on the coordination, determine subframes during which the LTE base station is to reduce transmission power so that the other base station can transmit on a same carrier frequency in the determined subframes. The transmitter and the processor send configuration information to a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU). The configuration information includes a medium access control (MAC) based discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration and an indication of subframes during which the base station is to reduce transmission power. The transmitter and the processor transmit data to the WTRU in subframes based on the determined subframes and the MAC based DRX configuration of the WTRU.

  • Patent number: 9807706
Abstract: Power control for devices having multiple transmit antennas are disclosed, including power control methods for Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) and Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) transmissions for a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU). The PUCCH and SRS power control methods include selecting a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) mode and changing the power of the PUCCH or SRS transmission based on the selected MIMO mode. Another power control method estimates an antenna gain imbalance (AGI) for a WTRU having at least two transmit antennas. The AGI is based on measuring a Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) on each transmit antenna. Each transmit antenna is then scaled by an AGI scaling factor based on the estimated AGI.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described. A method, implemented in a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), includes receiving a single radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration request. The single RRC connection reconfiguration request includes individually, for each of a plurality of cells, physical configuration information. One of the plurality of cells is a primary cell and other cells of the plurality of cells are non-primary cells. Measurement configuration information is received that configures the WTRU to send a measurement report on a condition that a neighboring cell is better than a non-primary cell by an amount.
