  • Patent number: 11021058
Abstract: A foldable accelerator pedal apparatus is equipped with a hysteresis module for a vehicle. In a manual driving mode where a driver drives a vehicle with human input, a pedal pad protrudes from a pedal housing to be exposed toward the driver. In an autonomous traveling mode where the vehicle travels without any human input, the pedal pad retracts into the pedal housing so as not to be exposed toward the driver. When operating the pedal pad, hysteresis may be realized through the hysteresis module.

  • Publication number: 20160368444
Abstract: A vehicle control unit may be provided that protects passengers of a vehicle while entering and exiting the vehicle. When the door opening closing operation signal or the speed meets a predetermined condition, the vehicle control unit receives information on whether a threat exists in the side or rear of the vehicle. When the threat does not exist, the vehicle control unit outputs the door opening closing operation signal to the door control unit and outputs the acceleration pedal rotation angle to the engine control unit. When the threat exists, the vehicle control unit does not output the door opening closing operation signal to the door control unit or does not output the door opening closing operation signal controlled to prevent the door from being opened to the door control unit and outputs an on-signal to the warning light or the buzzer disposed within the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20160342173
Abstract: An electronic accelerator pedal may be provided that includes: a pedal arm including a hinge rotatably connected to a housing; a spring which is fixed to the pedal arm and applies an elastic force to the pedal arm during the rotation of the hinge and a spring support beam which supports the spring, wherein one end of the spring support beam is fixed to the housing and the other end of the spring support beam is provided with a friction member which contacts the hinge. As a result, hysteresis can be generated, which improves the operation feeling and relieves fatigue of the driver only by a small number of parts. Besides, the electronic accelerator pedal has a simpler structure and requires a lower cost.

  • Patent number: 9120375
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a pedal module including an accelerator pedal; a pedal sensing unit; a pedal monitoring unit; and a control unit. The pedal monitoring unit determines whether an accelerating state of a vehicle is in an abnormal sudden acceleration state using abnormal sudden acceleration determination information transmitted from the pedal sensing unit, and transmits an accelerator pedal output signal to the control unit. The accelerator pedal output signal is based on the rotation angle of the accelerator pedal when the accelerating state of the vehicle is not in the abnormal sudden accelerating state. The accelerator pedal output signal is a controlled accelerator pedal output signal when the accelerating state of the vehicle is in the abnormal sudden accelerating state. The control unit controls the vehicle according to the accelerator pedal output signal. The abnormal sudden acceleration determination information includes information on the force applied to the accelerator pedal.

  • Patent number: 6445728
Abstract: A method of establishing a search window size for a mobile station in a cellular system is disclosed. For the mobile station searching for a pilot signal of base transceiver station (BTS), the information of maximum index being outputted from the mobile station is gathered, wherein the maximum index is an index number at which the strongest signal is detected within a predetermined window size. For the gathered maximum indexes, confidence level is established and mean value is calculated and then confidence interval is calculated for the gathered maximum indexes using the established confidence level and calculated mean value. A maximum offset of the search window to be applied to the present radio morphology of the cellular system is calculated from the calculated confidence interval and a search window to be applied to the present radio morphology is estimated by increasing the maximum offset by two times.
