    Abstract: Provided are a bone conduction-based earphone, a bone conduction-based headphone and a method for operating a medium device using the same. The bone conduction-based earphone includes: a bone conduction sensor for detecting a sound transferred through the bone; and a controller for manipulating a medium device connected to the earphone in response to the pattern of the sound detected by the sensor. The earphone or headphone transfers an air conduction sound received from a medium device and a bone conduction sound generated from the collision of teeth of a person together in an independent manner. By doing this, a user may effectively control the medium device by means of the bone conduction sound generated by the collision of teeth while receiving sound information such as music. Therefore, the user may effectively manipulate or control the medium device by using the teeth instead of the hand.

    Abstract: A method for inputting a Korean character by using a touch screen is provided. The method includes detecting touch points of a first touch and a second touch on the touch screen, displaying a consonant of a consonant input key corresponding to a center point of the detected touch points on the touch screen, and releasing the first touch and the second touch and inputting the displayed consonant as an initial sound. The method can minimize the number of character input keys arranged on the touch screen used in the portable terminal and combine the Korean character with the minimal touch action for inputting the Korean character, so that it is possible to simplify the input action for the Korean character input, thereby curtailing an input time for inputting the Korean character and effectively utilizing a limited touch screen region.

    Abstract: A method for controlling a touch screen using a timeline bar is provided. The method includes detecting a first dragging that starts from a bar on a timeline, zooming in the timeline according to a distance between the timeline and a final touch point of the first dragging, and shifting the bar on the zoomed-in timeline by a second dragging. Thus, it is possible to more precisely control the content even on a small touch screen just like on a large touch screen. In addition, the timeline blockage caused by the finger tip may be prevented, so the user may control the content more intuitively in the desired level.

    Abstract: Provided are a touch screen control method and a touch screen device using the same. A touch panel input method of the present invention and an apparatus thereof efficiently perform enlargement, reduction, rotation, and the like using only one hand by setting an additional mode which is not a general object movement mode.
