  • Patent number: 9055564
Abstract: There are provided an apparatus and method for transmitting power headroom information in a multiple component carrier system. The method includes finding Combination Power Headroom (CPH), that is a power headroom, calculated in an User Equipment (UE)-specific way with consideration taken of uplink transmission through a plurality of component carriers configured in the UE, generating CPH information used to inform an evolved NodeB (eNodeB:eNB) of the CPH, and sending the CPH information to the eNB. According to the present invention, power headroom for a combination component carrier is provided to an eNB in a wireless communication system in which a carrier aggregation is used. Accordingly, reliable dynamic carrier aggregation scheduling can be induced, and thus uplink transmission performance can be improved.

  • Patent number: 8559480
Abstract: An apparatus and method for generating a scrambling code in a radio communication system is disclosed. In particular, an apparatus and method for generating a scrambling code using a Gold-like sequence even when m is a multiple of 4 for a length 2m?1 of a pseudo-random sequence is disclosed. Two LFSRs (LFSR a and LFSR a?) for generating the Gold-like sequence by two different polynomials of degree m are included. The LFSR a? is constructed by a reciprocal primitive polynomial of the primitive polynomial of degree m over GF(2) used to construct the LFSR a. In order to generate 2m different scrambling codes, one fixed initial value is input to the LFSR a and different initial values of m bits are input to the LFSR a? according to system-specific information.

  • Patent number: 8249023
Abstract: A packet switched radio telecommunication system supporting hard handover adapts Always_on technology to a link between a target packet data serving node (PDSN) and a support PDSN. The support PDSN assigns a temporary IP address to a mobile terminal in its service area, and transmits handover data and the mobile terminal's temporary IP address to the target PDSN via a direct link when the mobile terminal leaves the service area. The target PDSN, upon receiving a registration request for the temporary IP address from the mobile terminal moved to its service area, temporarily registers the temporary IP address in an IP pool. The target PDSN receives down-link frame data for the mobile terminal at the temporarily registered IP address from the support PDSN via the direct link. A new temporary IP address is assigned by the target PDSN when data transmission/reception is complete to the mobile terminal.

Abstract: A femto cell connection node, a femto cell system, and a data transmission method of the system are disclosed. In the case where a sending terminal is willing to transmit data to a receiving terminal, a femto cell connection node of the sending side determines a present connection state of the receiving terminal and determines a transmission format of the data to be transmitted from the sending terminal to the receiving terminal according to the determined connection state. In particular, in the present disclosure, in the case where the receiving terminal is in a state of being directly or indirectly connectable to an Internet Protocol (IP) network, the data is transmitted to the receiving terminal after changing a protocol portion L1/L2 so that the data may pass through the IP network.
