Abstract: An apparatus and method for processing image data are provided. Using the method of the present invention, image data output from an image sensor can be rapidly processes and the necessary amount of buffer memory can be reduced. To this end, first image data of one frame is processed and converted into second image data in an image sensor part. The converted second image data is stored in a plural buffer memory having a plurality of storage areas. The second image data is sequentially read from the plural buffer memory, and then encoded.

Abstract: A mobile terminal is disclosed having a controller responsive to a status information display command inputted for detecting status information stored in a storage unit and displaying all of the status information at one time via a display unit. A system is disclosed having an Internet connected computer for generating a status information request signal in response to an input command, sending the generated status information request signal over the Internet, receiving information corresponding to the status information request signal over the Internet and displaying the received information. The mobile terminal stores the status information in the form of a table, and detects and transmits the information in response to the status information request signal sent from the user computer. A Web server is disclosed for transferring the status information request signal and the status information between the mobile terminal and computer.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for updating a program of a mobile terminal using an Over-The-Air (OTA) programming mechanism is provided. The program upgrade apparatus includes a first memory for storing a reference version of the program and at least one upgrade package; a second memory for loading an upgrade version of the program; a communication unit for enabling the mobile terminal to communicate with an external system; and a control unit for controlling the communication unit to download the upgrade package in response to an upgrade notification message from the external system, installing the upgrade package within the first memory, generating an upgrade version of the program by merging the upgrade package and the reference version in response to an install command, and operating the mobile terminal with the upgraded version of the program.

Abstract: A fusion memory device and method that are capable of encoding data to be written and decoding the data to be read is provided. The fusion memory device includes a main memory for storing multimedia data, an auxiliary memory for buffering the multimedia data in a writing and a reading modes, and a memory controller which controls buffering the multimedia data in the auxiliary, encoding the buffered multimedia data, and writing the encoded in the main memory in the write mode, and controls decoding the multimedia data output from the main memory, buffering the decoded multimedia data, and outputting the buffered multimedia data to a host device in the read mode.

Abstract: A fusion memory device and method that is capable of storing binary data in a compressed format and reading out the compressed binary data in a decompressed format is provided. The fusion memory device includes a main memory for storing data in a compressed format; a secondary memory for buffering binary data to be written within and read from the main memory; and a memory controller having a pair of compressor and decompressor. The memory controller controlling the secondary memory to buffer the binary data downloaded from a host device and the compressor compressing the binary data buffered with the secondary memory in a writing mode. The memory controller controlling the secondary memory to buffer the binary data read out from the main memory within the secondary memory and the decompressor decompressing the binary data buffered within the secondary memory in a reading mode.

Abstract: A system and method for updating a program of a mobile device using an over-the-air programming mechanism is provided and adopted to a network including an upgrade package processor for generating an upgrade package for a program and an upgrade package server allowing a recipient device to download the upgrade package.
