Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and a method for a low power AES cryptographic circuit for an embedded system. The apparatus and method allows each round operation to be performed in an order of an add round operation, a sub byte operation, a shift row operation, and a mix column operation in order to realize a small circuit area by making maximum reuse of designed element modules. When data is input, on the first place, operations are repeated in the above order from a first round to a round right before a last round. During a last round, only an add round key operation and a sub byte operation, and a shift row operation are performed, and then an add round key operation using a secret key is performed. At this point, each operation is performed on data by a 8-bit unit.

An operating method includes driving the mobile terminal that supports a multitasking environment, executing a terminal application by driving the mobile terminal and calling a home screen application, and setting an initial screen of the home screen application as a home screen of the mobile terminal after driving the called home screen application.

Abstract: Provided are a variable constant voltage generator generating a plurality of constant voltages, and more particularly, to a variable constant voltage generator which varies a reference voltage by changing a resistance value through on/off switching, thereby converting an output voltage into a plurality of constant voltages. The apparatus for generating a variable constant voltage, the apparatus includes: a reference voltage controller controlling on/off switches connected to ends of N resistors according to a digital signal value; a variable reference voltage generator generating a reference voltage corresponding to a resistance value obtained by controlling the on/off switches; and a regulator generating a constant voltage based on the reference voltage and an external input voltage.

Abstract: A device for adjusting the exposure of an image sensor includes an average luminance value calculation unit, a first exposure control unit and a correction exposure value calculation unit. The average luminance value calculation unit calculates the first total average luminance value of pixels that are output from the image sensor. The first exposure control unit controls the exposure value of the image sensor based on a previously set exposure value. The correction exposure value calculation unit calculates a correction exposure value by multiplying the exposure value, which is previously set on the first exposure control unit, by the ratio of a target luminance value to the first total average luminance value. Additionally, the first exposure control unit receives the correction exposure value from the correction exposure value calculation unit and controls the exposure value of the image sensor based on the correction exposure value.

Abstract: A rijndael block cipher apparatus including an operational unit that efficiently performs a round operation for encrypting/decrypting a rijndael block cipher and an encryption/decryption method thereof are disclosed. The rijndael block cipher apparatus is mounted in a mobile terminal such as a cellular phone and a PDA or a smart card, which requires a high-rate and small-sized cipher processor, and can encrypt and decrypt important data that requires security at high speed and perform the round operation with respect to upper 64 bits and lower 64 bits which are divided from 128-bit input data. Thus, the cipher apparatus can reduce the time required for encryption/decryption of the rijndael block cipher and the size of the apparatus.

The dynamic searching apparatus of video contents according to the present invention determines a normal replay section and a fast forward replay section the shot index information with considering current replay location and shot index information and replays the video contents from the current replay location at the determined corresponding speed according to the sections alternatively so as to replay video contents. Abstract: Disclosed herein is a plasma display panel in which afterimage is improved. The plasma display panel according to the present invention includes a panel unit having an upper plate and a lower plate, a frame that supports circuitry, and a conductive material formed between the panel unit and the frame. As such, a conductive material is formed on a bottom surface of a lower plate of a panel. Thus, charges introduced into the lower plate are properly controlled to improve the waveform stability of the panel. Also, a charge characteristic is improved to implement a stable operation. Accordingly, an afterimage time can be reduced. Further, a sheet of a low hardness and light weight is used. It is thus possible to absorb shock and noise of a PDP, accomplish light weight of the PDP and reduce the materials of the sheet.
