  • Patent number: 7659961
Abstract: A thin film transistor substrate and a liquid crystal display capable of eliminating residual images and enhancing clarity are presented. The thin film transistor substrate includes a charge-up capacitor for increasing electric charge in a first pixel electrode of a first pixel capacitor and a charge-down capacitor decreasing electric charge in a second pixel electrode of a second pixel capacitor. An extension electrode portion of the charge-up capacitor is formed in the shape of a frame to reduce any variation in the overlapping area between the first pixel electrode and the extension electrode portion caused by an alignment error generated during the manufacturing process.

  • Publication number: 20080186304
Abstract: In a display apparatus, pixels are arranged in a matrix defined by gate lines and data lines, and each pixel includes a first sub pixel charged to a first pixel voltage and a second sub pixel charged to a second pixel voltage having a same voltage level as the first pixel voltage. A voltage controller controls a voltage level of the first and second pixel voltages charged in the pixels corresponding to the first through penultimate pixel rows in response to a next gate signal. A dummy voltage controller controls a voltage level of the first and second pixel voltages charged in the pixels corresponding to the last pixel row in response to a dummy gate signal. Where a dummy voltage controller is not included, a black matrix partially covers the efficient display area of the pixels corresponding to the last pixel row.

  • Publication number: 20060265726
Abstract: While a user uses one service in a digital multimedia broadcasting receiving terminal, there is implemented a function for suspending the service currently being used and enabling a different service to be used when the different service is provided. A function for enabling a call service to be used during a broadcast service is implemented. A call screen is displayed in a state in which a broadcast service connection is maintained, such that the user can use a new call service without stopping the broadcast service currently being used. In this concurrent service, switching between the call screen and a broadcast screen is possible. This display method can prevent images of the respective services from overlapping with each other and can provide one service without stopping another service.

  • Publication number: 20060233373
Abstract: A DMB terminal for enabling simultaneous DMB viewing and call and a method therefor are provided. The DMB terminal has a switch unit for switching an image output path, an audible sound output path, and a key input path between a DMB module and a modem module. The modem module connects the image output path, the audible sound output path, and the key input to the DMB module when the user selects a DMB reception mode. If the user wants to use the modem module during viewing the DMB, the image output path, the audible sound output path, and the key input path are simply switched to the modem module, so that the user can use the modem module without terminating the DMB reception. Thus, the user can continue to view the DMB without interruptions even though he invokes a function of the modem module during viewing the DMB.

  • Patent number: 6877541
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a tape feeder for chip mounters. The tape feeder is constructed so that front and rear locators are restrained by a restraint slot of a cam slider moving horizontally, and bearings of the front and rear locators alternatively execute vertical and horizontal movements while sliding along the restraint slot by a reciprocating motion of a cam slider, thus repeatedly moving a carrier tape backward while locking the carrier tape and moving the carrier tape forward while releasing the carrier tape, therefore allowing the carrier tape to be fed precisely. The tape feeder allows the carrier tape to be fed precisely, and prevents chips from being turned over and removed from the carrier tape when a vinyl cover is discharged, thus minimizing a malfunction of the chip mounter during an operation of the chips and thereby maximizing operational reliability. Further, the tape feeder allows the number of elements to be reduced, in addition to achieving a slim construction.

  • Publication number: 20020086688
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for processing messages in a cellular base station system including a plurality of subsystems. At least one field is added to a message format exchanged between the subsystems in a software update process used by the subsystems. A source subsystem generates a message header including an interface version field having source current running version value, generates a message by assembling the generated message header and at least one information field, and transmits the generated message to a target subsystem. The target subsystem then compares the source current running version value in the received message header with a target current running version value; processes the received message including the added field, if the source current running version value is equivalent to the target current running version value; and processes the received message excluding the added field, if the source current running version value is not equivalent to the target current running version value.
