The dialogue system includes a storage configured to store target information about a target and a target value for ambiguous language; a first input device configured to receive speech signals; and a dialogue manager configured to: convert the speech signals received in the first input device into text; determine a user's intention based on the received speech signals; and based on determining that the determined user's intention corresponds to a request intention and the converted text corresponds to the ambiguous language, obtain the target and the target value corresponding to the ambiguous language from the target information stored in the storage. The dialogue system also includes a result processor configured to generate a response based on the target and the target value obtained from the dialogue manager, and to control an output of the generated response.
