    Abstract: An LCD device and a method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. The LCD device includes a substrate; a UV hardening main sealant on the substrate; a UV hardening dummy sealant in a region between the UV hardening main sealant and an edge of the substrate; and a UV shielding part formed in a portion where the UV hardening dummy sealant is overlapping with a cell-cutting line. Also, a UV blocking part is formed under the UV hardening dummy sealant in a portion where the UV hardening dummy sealant is overlapped with a cell-cutting line, so that the sealant formed under the UV blocking part is not hardened, thereby easily cutting the substrate into unit cells.
