  • Patent number: 7950108
Abstract: A castor includes a suspension unit, a castor body, a wheel unit, and a brake unit. The suspension unit includes an upright fixing bolt and a locking member. The wheel unit includes two rollers. The brake unit includes a positioning block, a sliding block, a biasing member, a drive member, and a braking pin. Thus, when the drive member of the brake unit is pressed, each of the rollers of the wheel unit is braked by and locked onto the castor body, and the castor body is locked onto the fixing bolt simultaneously, thereby locking the castor exactly and stably.

  • Publication number: 20100212108
Abstract: A castor includes an upright support tube, a mounting unit rotatably mounted on a lower end of the support tube, and a support bracket secured on the mounting unit. The mounting unit includes an upright hollow mounting post mounted on the support bracket and inserted into the support tube and a plurality of reinforcing plates mounted in the mounting post to reinforce a radial strength of the mounting post. The mounting post of the mounting unit has an outer wall provided with a plurality of radially and outwardly extending bushings abutting the inner wall of the support tube to reduce a friction between the mounting post and the support tube so as to facilitate rotation of the mounting post relative to the support tube.

  • Publication number: 20060076097
Abstract: A wheel structure includes a tire, a hub, pads and fastening elements. The tire has a hollow body with a pair of hub holes to receive the hub therein. Each hub hole is provided with an engaging wall and a securing edge extending outwardly form the engaging wall. The hub has a pair of confining sections at respective ends. Each confining section has a confining groove with a plurality of holes thereon. Each pad is formed with a plurality of locating holes corresponding to the holes of each confining groove so as to secure the pads to the hub and to restrain the tire to the hub securely.

  • Patent number: 6360851
Abstract: The invention, a caster structure with function of brake and rotation constraint, is to form a horizontal container groove on the bottom of a wheel base. One end of the container groove extends upward to form a groove, which joins a vertical shaft opening for the penetration of a shaft. The vertical shaft opening forms an opening with respect to the groove. The shaft forms a positioning groove on a convex ring with respect to the opening. The other end of the container groove is connected with a clip element, of which the connecting portion forms a long-end and a short-end on the basis of the axle center. Inside the container groove is a slide base, which constantly hits the connecting portion of the clip element when it is pushed by a spring. A fixure pin penetrates the other end of the slide base and passes through the slots of the wheel base. On the end of the slide base is a clip block, which is inside the groove and is pushed by a spring.

  • Patent number: 5617934
Abstract: The present invention provides a braking mechanism for a castor, which includes a wheel support, two wheels and a brake support. Wherein the wheel support contains an axle suspension with a housing holding a spring and a slide therein. A slotted hole is formed through respective sides of the axle suspension, and two transverse stoppers are respectively formed on the top and bottom portions of the axle suspension, immediately above and below the slotted hole. The brake support extends outwardly to form two flat plates on respective sides thereof and spaced to extend on a respective side wall of the axle suspension, between the upper and lower stoppers. Each plate has a diagonally directed slotted hole formed therethrough for an axle to pass therethrough, through the slotted hole of the axle suspension and through the internal slide. The bias of the spring displaces the axle to the bottom of the slots, displacing the brake support to engage stopping recesses formed in the wheels to latch them against rotation.
