  • Patent number: 9818356
Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including gate lines, data lines, and pixels connected to the gate line and the data lines, a gate driver driving the gate lines, a level shifter applying a gate clock signal to the gate driver, a data driver driving the data lines, a timing controller generating control signals to control the level shifter, the gate driver, and the data driver, and a backlight unit providing light to the display panel. The level shifter sets a voltage level of a gate-on voltage of the gate clock signal to a voltage level of a first gate-on voltage or a voltage level of a second gate-on voltage higher than the first gate-on voltage in response to a gate-on control signal.

  • Publication number: 20170076649
Abstract: A display panel driving apparatus includes a data driving circuit, a gate driving circuit and a common voltage outputting circuit. The data driving circuit is configured to output a data signal based on image data to a data line of a display panel. The gate driving circuit is configured to output a gate signal to a gate line of the display panel. The common voltage outputting circuit is configured to output a common voltage according to grayscale values of the image data and set the common voltage in varying grayscale value intervals according to a decrease of the grayscale values of the image data.

  • Publication number: 20100134401
Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) and a method of driving the LCD are provided. The LCD includes a display panel; and a timing controller providing a first data signal to the display panel during a first frame period, a second data signal to the display panel during a second frame period and a blank signal to the display panel during a blank period between the first and second frame periods, wherein the voltage of the blank signal varies among a plurality of levels between the voltage of the first data signal and the voltage of the second data signal.

  • Publication number: 20080055902
Abstract: A light source that reduces or even prevents signal interference with an infrared remote control unit is presented. The light source includes a lamp body filled with discharge gas and having an inner wall that is coated with a fluorescent layer to generate light. A barrier layer provided at the lamp body. The barrier layer blocks infrared wavelength that is generated in the lamp body from escaping the lamp body. This blocking of the infrared wavelength leakage reduces or prevents any distortion of the infrared signals that are output from the remote control unit, improving the overall product reliability.
