  • Publication number: 20050113469
Abstract: A method for preparing poly(2,5-benzimidazole) whereby 3,4-diaminobenzoic acid is polymerized using a dehydrating reagent containing P2O5 and CX3SO3H where X is H or F. The poly(2,5-benzimidazole) has good proton conductivity and low methanol permeability, and therefore can be used as a polymer electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell.

  • Publication number: 20050089744
Abstract: A composite material for a bipolar plate of fuel cells is comprised of conductive carbon dispersed in polybenzoxazine matrix. The present invention also provides a composite material for preparing a bipolar plate for fuel cells comprising a polymer where a volume reduction percent is less than 5%, preferably 3%, and more preferably 1% after polymerization of the monomers with respect to total volume of the monomers before the polymerization thereof, and conductive carbon. The polymers of the present invention have good workability since there is little volume change during polymerization, and good mechanical and chemical properties, and they can be manufactured at a low cost.

  • Publication number: 20020153104
Abstract: A plasma etching chamber of a plasma etching apparatus used in an etching process for manufacturing a photomask and a method for manufacturing a photomask using the same. The plasma etching chamber includes an electrode having a supporting surface for supporting a photomask substrate and a top surface surrounding the supporting surface, a heat transfer element installed along a peripheral edge of the supporting surface, and a heater for supplying heat to the heat transfer element. In the method for manufacturing a photomask, a shading layer is formed on a transparent substrate. A photoresist layer pattern is formed on the shading layer to partially expose the shading layer. The shading layer is etched to form a shading layer pattern, using plasma with the photoresist layer pattern as an etching mask, under a state in which the temperature of at least one portion of the peripheral edge of the transparent substrate is maintained higher than a temperature at a center of the transparent substrate.
